Very lovely place. Nice to visit but it is much smaller then I thought. Only few houses and a housing estate built around it. Parking is free and entry fee is £5 per adult. There are toilets there too.

If you like going back in history then this is the place to be.The village is set in the 17th century, there are several buildings that you can visit including a pub, blacksmith, pottery, wood turning and weaving. Each building is occupied by very knowledgeable volunteers who will tell everything you need to know.
The entry fee is only £5 pp and only open certain times of the year, best to check the website for details. Highly recommended

Wonderful visit chatting to the various villagers, trying their crafts and learning about their life in 17th century. A really good experience for children and adults of all ages. Highly recommend Little Woodham Village

A fabulous, fabulous day out! Really interesting and lots to engage children. Volunteers are helpful , friendly and knowledgeable. It's great that visitors are able to take part in some activities . No dreaded expensive gift shop or ice creams which is brilliant - the small shop sells very reasonably priced items. Thank you for a great day out that doesn't cost a fortune! 🙂🙂🙂

What a gem we really enjoyed our visit and interacted with the residents very well. I highly recommend a visit if you are in the area. You meet and speak to the residents and they all have very interesting stories to tell. There is free parking near the entrance. Please check their website for opening times as this varies.

What an amazing little hidden gem! I've known since I was a child that this place existed, but I've never had the opportunity to go until today and I loved every minute. Everyone involved was knowledgeable and polite, but most importantly, they were fun to chat to. I would highly recommend this to anyone with an interest in history and how things were in times gone by.

The knowledgeable volunteers really bring it to life, fantastic visit for the whole family. Like stepping back in history to 1642 England. We Really enjoyed ourselves. Very interactive.

What an amazing place to visit. A living 17th century village full of volunteers who are very keen to speak to you and answer all your questions. Spent a very interesting 30 minutes listening to how the surgeon used to take blood, remove musket balls and remove limbs. Well worth a visit. Mosquitos are dreadful so make sure to take some insect repellent. Entrance is quite difficult to find to the extent that the wrong road has a sign up to say it's not right. Google Maps hasn't been updated yet to include the new road name. Turn into *Barrington Close*.
