Great place for a walk. The only remains of the Celtic Temple, dated 200AD, are highlighted by chalk outlines on the ground. The temple must have been quite large. Unfortunately the information signs are very weather beaten. Quite mystical standing there trying to imagine what it must have been like.

The outline of the Roman temple and it's portico are marked out on the grass. A statue of Mercury was found here in the early 20th century. I remember archaeologists from Colchester Archaeology Trust excavating a test trench across here in the early 1990's. Relaxing place to come, fills with dog walkers quite quickly. Normally hear sky larks flying around

Lovely place to walk the dog and view the sight where the temple was, and to fly the drone.
