Nearby Tube Station is Marble Arch.
At South East End of EdgeWare Road.
Over Oxford Street.
One side is A4202 Park Lane.
The traffic density around there is quite extreme and constant traffic jams but this is a. small oasis of tranquillity and peace within that melee of noise and fumes. During the Covid 19 Pandemic it just goes to show how much cleaner the air is and quieter without all the constant hubbub of traffic and noise. Going out for my daily exercise it was very pleasant to stop for a few moments to take in this peace and quiet within the stress we are going through during these difficult times.
A nice space and wish the traffic was not coming back but it will.
I'm not sure what was behind it that you cross the bridge to get to but there is a homeless camp there.
It is a nice space to visit it's a shame I was only in London for 1 day with so much already on my list to see that I didn't have time to hang around and enjoy it all.
Despite complete restoration in 2009, the proximity of Marble Arch and the Tyburn Gallows historical association, the setting here is dull and desperately in need of reinvention. The ambience unsettled.
Don’t bother unless you’re addicted to diesel fumes or seek the company of morose habitués.
specially when it’s a beautiful day
