Having worked there in BBC TV News for a couple of months in late 1974 when film was still being used, I looked forward to seeing the 21st century version of this iconic building. The very knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guides from ITV Daytime programmes showed a group of 14 two of the three former BBC studios they now lease, having moved from South Bank. The spacious TC3 contains back to back sets for 'Good Morning Britain' and also 'This Morning' (whose production office is in the basement alongside the green room, dressing rooms, fashion and art offices). TC2 which we were told used to be one of the locations for Blue Peter including the famous appearance of an elephant with John Noakes) is used for Lorraine. Then within an hour the set is changed to facilitate another live programme, Loose Women. Such practices would not have been possible in the heavily unionised days of BBC and ITV in the 1970s 80s and even 90s. GMTV, the early incarnation of Good Morning Britain, was the first company to challenge the unionised workplace in the broadcasting industry, by the way.
This tour is a 'must' for anyone who is a viewer of any these programmes who wants to know more about Philip and Holly, Piers and Susanna, Lorraine or the four Loose Women. The ninety minutes tour will also appeal to anyone with an interest in television production and history. Thank you Nick and Kate for the tour.

This tour was the perfect surprise for my partner who just turned 30, knowing that he loved his Daytime TV, with his all time favourite being This Morning. He absolutely loved the tour and so did I.

The tour lasted for an hour and half and we got to see the studio sets for Good Morning Britain, Lorraine and This Morning, along with a really interesting talk regards to why the Loose Women set wasn't there at our time of visit. Our tour guide, Alex, had some good knowledge about the studios, it's history and the shows that are filmed there, along with keeping us engaged. We got to look backstage at some of the production corridors, make-up rooms, prop makers, green room and much more. Totally recommend a visit

We went on tour Thursday 25 July and it was fantastic. Really good to see behind the scenes of my favourite shows including This Morning. Would recommend anyone who likes these shows to come and visit. Managed to do a lot of people watching while waiting for the tour to start. Excellent day .

Had a really fantastic day, except for the weather. The tour guide explained how the shape of the building came to be. Loads of photo opportunities and we also had a unexpected surprise on the GMB set.

Had a fantastic day out, really interesting, and the tour guide took his time and there was no rushing about, plenty of opportunities to take photos.
