Amazing experience the kids loved it. Can be busy when first opens but crowds settle down eventually. Defiantly come back again

A lovely little ride around a Chingford Park. Nicely extended so it does a double loop. We travelled on the 7 1/4 inch gauge train. There was a big queue as one of the trains had a broken coupler. But once fixed things went much better. An interesting selection of locomotives, on our day some battery and a petrol locomotive were working. They have steam sometimes too. The carriages are comfortable for full grown adults as well as children. The park has fun things too. A nice diversion.

There can only really be a five star rating for this.

It’s run by volunteers.
Operates every bank holiday Monday and all Sundays through the summer unless raining from 1-6pm.
It’s £1 a ride for over twos, free for under (1.50 for ground track which is twice as long).
Kids under 5/6 absolutely love it.
You can plan an afternoon out around it and spend less than a fiver. Very few places in London you can get this sort of value.
Occasionally you have to queue for 10 minutes or so but that’s because people love it and the ride are so long.

It's so lovely! The people who run it are all very friendly and kind, it's so nice to know that they are continuing what's been passed down to them. I loved getting on the trains with my nephew I would recommend it to everyone it's really fun!

Brilliant little model railway and is a very good price. It's really good for little kids (with adult) and also very accessible. Open on Sundays between Easter and September.

Great place to bring the kids. Used to come here as a child myself, great memories. So pleased it's still running. The people who run it are really friendly and a great team which makes the experience more enjoyable.
