I picked the brochure up for this place and instantly liked the look of this. Something I've never heard of before. Amazing part of our British heritage and landscape than many will never have seen.
I was a little set back when I read the reviews, however, once you are there you understand why they encourage people to turn phones off or put them into flight mode. It is to really enjoy and relax throughout the entire experience. The staff were all really friendly including the bar and shop staff, and Lauren and Phil. All had such great and vast knowledge of their areas and were fantastic.
The five minutes of silence just to listen to the outdoors uninterrupted by modern society.
The views and the luxury of being on a barge is something not to be ignored. The people on the barge were all lovely and a friendly crowd in. Making sure you ring in advance definitely helped as it's cash only on board, so having enough with you is vital if you want a few drinks. Prices were reasonably priced and to keep the company going you would respect and understand this. The cleanliness was second to none. And the health and care given to the horses is clear for all to see and a good deal of education is given to help you understand how little effort this is for the horses. Definitely definitely would go again and highly recommended as a must do. Thank you so much to all the staff we had a great afternoon.

Great fun for everyone, being pulled along in a barge by a shire horse. So peaceful and relaxing.

Lovely flat walk along the canal tow path. Great coffee/tea/snack van at 3miles from Tiverton basin.

It was just a coincidence that we went for our second boat trip towed by a horse. We were warmly welcomed and everyone was very warm and friendly. We experienced the nice gathering and the atmosphere was extraordinary good (due to the stories told by the staff members). Even the (16 year old) dog and the horse were so nice. It’s very clear that they are taken care of very well!

Didn't go on a barge trip but did enjoy a bike ride from Stamford Peverell to Tiverton and back. Also enjoyed refreshments at thr Tea Rooms at Tiverton.

Great place for a walk along the Canal. It's 11 miles long and on a hot sunny Monday we found it very quiet.

Beautifully persevered nature at its best.
Traditional barge pulling shire horse works a short journey for your pleasure with stunning views of the Great Western canal and full of surprises
Cycle path is clear, flat and safe.
A cafe for a bite to eat or refreshments is also a treat and the adventure is wheel chair accessible so ideal elderly or disabled.
A wonderful experience for all ages to enjoy.

Brilliant day out, the barge was very enjoyable even through the rain.

The commentary from the skipper and staff were very interesting and informative.
