Great mosaic of the River Thames' history.
The Queenhithe Mosaic is a 30 metre long timeline on the wall of Queenhithe Dock, which is the only remaining Anglo Saxon dock in the world. The mosaic was completed in 2014 and features key figures who built and used the dock and lived nearby.

Lovely mosaic created in 2014 and details London history starting 50BC with the Roman invasion. It's a wonderful piece - or pieces - of art.

What is interesting is NOT the mosaic but the small dock behind it, which dates back to Anglo-Saxon times, if not even older. In terrms of buildings and structures, nothing survives from that period or anything like it, but it is still amazing to stand there, look at the river and little harbour and appreciate that it was in use as a working dock for over a thousand years.

Cool timeline. Worth seeing if you’re in the area. Right next to the river.

Nice mosaic art, and quick history of London.
Approx 10 minutes to walk through and read everything.

Very impressive piece of art in London, 30 meters long, with a timeline of 2000 years of history of London, completely missed by most tourist, it is worth it for at least 5 minutes checking, ideally from South to North.

Queenhithe Mosaic is also the site of the new Westin London City and its cool new wine bar, "Hithe + Seek".

The mosaic is very interesting and the view from the walkway is super on a clear day.
