Wonderful time spent at the railway, it is very interesting and funny. Great place for family and kids. It was so nice to smell a steam train. Fantastic!

Nice little place to bring young kids, only thing that costs money is to ride the train and its not much.

Has a play area for under 5s and a bigger area for the older kids, plenty of benches for picnics

Would be a wonderful place to bring the kids if you have any! We only have dogs so we brought those and they absolutely loved it!
They have never been on a train before and they love new adventures so this was perfect. For £3 per person and the dogs going free, there is nothing you can grumble at.
The staff and train drivers all made a fuss of them. We had a wander around afterwards and there looked to be a lot for children to do that was all free. Definitely worth checking it out!

Nice little private narrow gauge steam railway on a farm. Open to the public for about a mile trip. Small tea room with ice creams, hot drinks and souvenirs. Play park for small children. Toilets and small car park. Freindly train driver told me they are expanding the track as cash and volunteers allow.

LOVELY little railway. We are 2 adults, (no kids), and we still enjoyed it! Very good price £3 each, and loads to do that is free....what a fab place to bring children. We came at about 11am on a Monday, and were straight in for the first train.
Nice little tea room, plenty of outdoor seating (some undercover).
The train carriages are open sided so feel safe and airy.
An absolute gem! So glad we visited.....thank you guys for a nice couple of hours, and we loved going past the rare-breed cattle in the pretty valley.

Absolutely brilliant stop off on the way home from Sherwood Pines. Free parking and general admission. Zip wire, bouncy castle, remote control boats, park and under 5s area. The train is so good m, super friendly staff and the attention to detail is so cute. We really enjoyed ourselves, thank you.

We had not idea that this was here. We visited on a Sunday and was pleasantly surprised that it was free to enter. It’s a little place in a countryside setting with play equipment and park equipment. There was a bouncy castle for kiddies to play on that’s also free! We couldn’t believe it. There’s not enough to do for a full day but was perfect for a couple of hours. There is a little wooden hut that sells ice creams, sandwiches and hot drinks. All reasonably priced. The little steam train was perfect for little ones. It was roughly £3 for adults and £2.50 for children. You only travel about a mile so isn’t a very long ride but they have secured funding to extend the track which will be good. There are gnomes and garden ornaments dotted by the track so plenty of things to look at on the train ride as well as the countryside. Fab little place and definitely will be returning.

A beautiful little railway, worthy of its own book in The Railway Series.

I had a fantastic time on a driver experience, running the hard working little engine up and down the line.

The staff were all amazing and really took the experience to the next level.

Can’t wait to go back!

Many thanks for an amazing time!
