Blackingstone rock is a bit of a hidden gem. If you know your way around the back lanes past hennock, and up to the reservoirs then beyond. You can find this little "moor" treat . Use a maps app perhaps. Parking practically non existent but what a view. By the way it's pretty much always windy up there. That view tho

Limited parking. Steep stairs to reach top of rock but awesome 360 view once climed. Don't drive there in a lowered car though!

Well worth a visit, and wonderful views, but be careful on the steps!!

Beautiful place to visit. Off the beaten track and so not recommended for large vehicles. Very steep steps to the top but a stunning view.

Discovered this completely by good fortune. Was driving to Moretonhampstead when my wife said "what's that?" "What's what?" I stopped and looked and there was this huge rock protruding out of the bracken hillside. I backed up and found a small carpark opposite the rock. I pulled in and we saw there was a small path leading towards the rock. We followed it and were rewarded by a lovely short walk around this huge rock to a small rocky plateau on the far side about halfway up. From there you had a great view but there was a series of steep steps with handrails up the side of the peak. Bravely, I went up and even on that misty day I was amazed by the commanding view from the top. All in all, amazing and to think I was standing on top of an extinct volcano!

A quiet impressive outcrop with great views from the top.

Probably the lesser known 'brother' of Haytor. A giant granite outcrop. There's some visual awe to it. Overlooks some nice farmland and some young trees that have been planted. Very steep ladder going up to top of the Tor. The kind of ladder in old castles where you can fit barely half of your foot. Not somewhere you want to go on a windy day. Keep driving down a country lane sign-posted to Hennock and you'll get to a nice reservoir as well.

Some great, if windy, views. It's a fairly simple climb those a little slippery here and there. Steps certainly help!
