Lovely place to visit , the cavern itself is really good inside , use the app to listen to a guided tour which was interesting too , staff were friendly upon visiting , shop was good and not overly expensive to take a gift home. The attraction itself is not long maybe an hour at the most but once you come out you can climb the hills by the entrance and see some fantastic views in itself , in fact they are stunning views of the area. Well worth a visit 👍

Excellent! Beautiful cave walk and the added audio tour was great. My wife has mobility issues and walks with a stick, but we found no problem getting through the caves. Very well looked after, staff really friendly and a lovely little gift shop at the end.

Definitely the best Cavern in Castleton, wear good grip footwear as there is a steep climb up the steps and slope and up to the entrance, but has a useful handrail, and in the Cavern and back down to the road. Inside the Cavern it's stunning and the ceiling is quite low so watch your head and make sure you have something warm to put on as it's quite cold. Staff are very helpful and friendly, shop is well stocked and café has reasonable prices as well parking is free.

Nice view up the hill and upon exit of the caves. Nice shop with good collection of stones. Can see blue stones in the cave. The cave is Not big and it’s chilly. Bring a coat.

Love Treak Cliff! We enjoyed being able to walk around the cavern on our own with an audio guide. The Blue John and stalagmites/tites were well worth a visit to see. Great views from outside too!

Interesting cavern near Castleton village in the Peak District. Self guided tour with an app, which gives you plenty of information if you wish. Some pretty amazing geological phenomena in the cavern and the Blue John stone polishing was interesting. The shop even sell bottles of Treak Cliff ale - very good too.

Absolutely brilliant. The staff in the shop were very friendly and helpful and the "self guided tour" worked very well, changing as we moved from chamber to chamber. Even our 15 month labrador loved it and barked at the door to have another trip around

Built into the side of Mam Tor, this place has an interesting history, and shows off well the region's speciality export of "Blue John" stone.

For the taller traveller, headroom is often at a premium, and physical flexibility is required to navigate the often tight and cramped passageways, though the momentary discomfort is certainly worth it.

Tours are self-guided, with the help of an audio guide downloaded to a smartphone, and explore the geological and industrial history of the area, as well as the exposed and well-preserved fossils within the local limestone.

Sensible headgear, and waterproof clothing and boots are strongly recommended for this adventure.
