Breathtaking...

One of the best places in North Wales to spend the afternoon. With outstanding views, selection of walks, farm animals for the kids and boat rides for the big kids. On some days you can even find a flooting restaurant and have a meal as you pass over the famous bridge.

The walk are great for walking the dog, but take care of the livestock whitch roam around the part. Also some of the fields are carry a £75 fine if your dog is off the lead.

Also take a towel for the dog and/or t b e kids. If you do go by the river they will won't to get wet. Do take care in the area around the viaduct, it has been known to have whirlpool in the still water.

If you are taking the kids, keap an eye on the Country Park wedsite (Also Wrexham Council Website) as they offten have events (jam making, wilidlife walk, bug hunt, etc) running that the kids can take part in.

Finally for anyone who likes history this place is not just a World Heritage Site and one of the Wonders of Wales, it has a long history serving the local community and farm in the Cheshire food belt.

Fantastic park, with amazing views and a small animal farm: goats, lamas, wild boar, chickens and rabbits and guinea pigs! Lovely coffee shop too!!!

Beautiful train viaduct beside Ty Mawr Country Park. It stands 147 feet above the River Dee and has 19 arches. It takes trains between Chester and Shrewsbury.

After the long trains through English countryside, suddenly finding yourself near fifty metres in the air overlooking picturesque valleys is quite remarkable, especially on 1850's stonework! No footpath access so can only be appreciated either whilst on a train journey or from the walks around Ty Mawr country park in Cefn Mawr.
