Silver Mountain Experience

Had a fantastic time here, very informative into the past of the mines. The young girl who explained everything about the mines and the history was great, any questions we asked were answered in full without hesitation.

This place is so interesting, there's lots of things to see, do and learn about life as a Lead miner. I highly recommend doing one of the guided tours because you learn so much from the very informative guides. The young lady who was doing the scary Black Chasm tour was absolutely brilliant, even though we didn't do that particular tour she wandered around interacting with the children in her slightly scary character, it just added to the brilliant time that we had there.

Amazing day. Started with the Black Chasm tour and finished the day with the family friendly Dragon's Tale. My 8 year old loved both. First one was genuinely scary but fun filled and gruesomely informative. If youve ever done something like York/London Dungeons it has a similar vibe. The Dragon tour was led by Elva the most bouncy and friendly Fire Elf I've ever met, and kept my kid enthralled throughout. The actors made the day incredibly fun and memorable, they stayed in character even when we bumped into them later (including a jump scare from Lowri the Lady of the Mountain). And the guys on the front desk were just as friendly and helpful. Some of the areas for kids could do with a little tlc (like the den building area) but to their credit they have also added some fresh areas like the small adventure play and sand digging area. The kids hunt (which is the sort of thing my child often decides is too boring) was made all the more engaging by the staff helping and giving clues as you went round and getting clues from other families who were also looking around with their clipboards, so we actually completed it and earned our sweeties! All in all what could have been an averagely amusing day out was made highly engaging and memorable by the hardwork of the staff.

Really nice for kids! Staff were so friendly and welcoming! My 6 year old LOVED the dragon experience! The trial was good! Cafe staff lovely! I think to make it even better it could have been more interactive and had more underground sections!

Really enjoyed it. The witch made everyone engage and scared the life out of us.
The mine is wow.. something out of 'Goonies'. Cant give too much away.

Loved the experience with the guide working out way through the clues to help the dragon. Wished we had planned better and came earlier to spend more time here

Great place to visit. I walked around the accessible areas outside and I think they have done an amazing job at making this a fun day, I could imagine bringing my niece and nephew to this and then having a brilliant day with all the different creatures and activities around the mine.

We went on the Black Chasm adventure yesterday and I've got to say, the "Witch" or, "Lady of the Mountain" if the hunter asks, did an absolute amazing job as being an actor tour guide.

Absolutely amazing, Witch Gwyn was so absolutely scary, she was wonderful. I highly recommend The Black Chasm tour ! Entire experience was 5 star.
