Kids loved it! Visited today with all 3 kids, they loved it. Having read some reviews, I expected the place to be small. It was, but the manager came and spoke to us and told us about all the hard work that goes into running the place. You could tell he was passionate about his job and very knowledgeable. The locality is awesome and it wasn't too busy. Didn't feel rushed and the manager even gave my little girl some flowers after he saw here trying to pick one. Would recommend to families with young children 👍

Great little find, it's an absolute gem, situated in a beautiful location. The staff are amazing and really interesting to talk to. We had such a good time and the kids loved it and wouldn't stop talking about it. As a side message to the handful of other reviews you may read, the price is so reasonable for all the hard work and expertise that goes into such a collection. Definitely recommend ✌️

Enjoyed our time here very much and is well worth a visit. Must admit I was expecting something grander but still was not disappointed and went in and out several times throughout the afternoon. Lovely area to stay a while and have a walk/explore. There are picnic tables and a loo. Plenty of parking.

Fantastic experience to be up close and personal to these beautiful creatures. Very knowledgeable staff who are rightly protective of their wards. Could have happily stayed for hours just watching the butterflies

The place is very very tiny, and on weekend when visited, there was a lot of people inside. Couldn't stay more than 5min because of the extremly hot and humidity, and if its cold outside, it is highly recommend to take off you coat straight away before to get in. Children would really enjoy it, you could hold the butterflies in your fingers, and there are a lot of possibilities to take nice pictures with them. There is a small shop to buy souvenirs where they have also more exotic animals.

We had a great time here. Your able to hand feed the butterflies and hold them. The staff are fantastic and the manager is happy to chat. Everyone is really knowledgeable. We will be back another day with the children as they will love it here.

Small in size, but with an amazing number of butterfly's, with a small number of fish, insects, reptiles & spiders. Well worth a visit, many beautiful, tame butterfly's that are happy to sit on your hand for photos!, It's not cheap at £8 a head, but their heating bills must be enormous, as it's basically like a sauna. Staff very knowledgeable & friendly.

Loved this place! Wanted to spend the whole day there. It's not very big so don't expect rooms. It's one big greenhouse basically. Warm inside so make sure you don't wear to many layers!
For a small charity run business it's worth every penny. It's located just behind Rheidol visitor Centre and Cafe which is closed from September to April I believe. So no place to get a drink etc but you could always take a picnic and sit on the benches just outside the butterfly house and look out onto the reservoir and surroundings. Can't wait to go back
