A basic railway station on the Midland Main Line. HSTs pass through daily and steam trains pass through from time to time.

Syston is a brilliant railway station!

For all those railway enthusiasts I recommend this station as it's on a curve making for some really, really cool shots/clips.

For those looking here to see if there's a good service and how accessible it is continue reading!

The station has a regular service on Monday-Saturday but the service takes about a 2 hour break around mid-day. Apart for that there is a service in each direction every-hour. No services run on a Sunday. The station is a singular platform and easy to get to the platform with a long ramp. There is station facilities such as a ticket machine, benches, a waiting shelter, bike racks, a help point and a timetable making it easy for you to travel from this station.

Overall the station is great! I recommend this to railway enthusiasts/ train spotters and those locals looking for a way to travel, Syston is good for you!

Well the station seems okay enough on first glance. It's a very basic single platform unstaffed station. It has the standard facilities such as a ticket machine, seating, shelter and live departure information.

Step free access is available too and the station is great for trainspotting too.

Great for watching steam trains that use the mainline heading to York.

It's as basic as railway stations can be, but it was clean and well-kept.
