Limited free parking but can you park on the road into the housing estate. Quiet station even at peak times. No ticket machine or office so just buy ticket on train.

A quiet station, even at peak times. Direct links to Preston, Liverpool and Wigan. Line is recently electrified. Serene on weekday evenings. Good to watch the Pendolinos on the WCML fly past while waiting for your train. Inexplicable lack of information boards.

Desolate commuter railway station, few facilities, windswept.

Pretty basic, only bus-shelter type cover. Does always have parking available.
