Wellingborough

Lost property found - staff going the extra mile. Lost my rucksack on train to Derby one day ago and the staff were impressive. Told one lady who was working in the evening and she not only took details but came in the next day to catch up with staff to ensure it was chased (unsure of name - sorry). Then another member Karen liased with Derby station and ensured they located my item. To someone who had a lot of important things in there work related and personal I was so relieved. And all thanks to the brilliant staff at the station. Thank you so much

Two be new retail outlets ; Wine from Moldova, started by the Romans, is a little expensive, however if you like wine, it us the going rate, good variety. Constantine, is very knowledgeable. Recommended. New bakery, specialising in cakes. Good atmosphere, made welcome, decor is interesting. Many disused houses are being done up. Infrastructure is being improved. Toilet facilities are good and clean.

The train has a step that you have to be careful stepping off

I use this railway to go from Wellingborough to Luton on platform 4 and I'm overall pretty satisfied.
Pros:
-Lift access for every station
-Large waiting areas for all stations
-Security cameras everywhere
Cons:
-Platform 4 has little shelter for the rain causing everyone to crowd on the stairs
-Seating is lacking for some platforms, especially platform 1
-The seating hub on the far side of platform 4 is infested with spiders!
As for the trains I use EMR which is good however people need to stop using standard class / first class seats without using the table! As someone who has a laptop it's rather annoying to see people sitting there while using their phones!

Very well kept station. Wonderful staff and super relaxed station.
Not too intrusive paranoid cameras watching people breathe every second.
Overall a lovely calm station.
Needs a Northampton link instead of buzzes linked to the other line

Network Rail have done a great job of restoring and improving Wellingborough Station. The station buildings have been restored. A new platform has been added, making four platforms. As part of the Midland Mainline improvements, the track now has overhead electric cables from Bedford to Corby, so that electric trains can soon start to run. Wellingborough station now has step free access, with lifts going to each platform, which is a huge improvement. There is a car park near by with ample parking and a taxi rank just outside the station. These improvements make Wellingborough Station a better station to travel from.

Nice little train station with friendly staff. The station consist of a little cafe and a little bar. A car park next to the station making it really convenient.
