Great little Town, with a good Butchers, Baker's, Green Grocer's, Spar, Post Office, Hairdressers /Barbers ,Hotel/Bar, Estate agent, Takeaway, Doctors surgery, Chemist , Giftware / furniture store, coffee shop, Cafe, Optician, Framers, Upholsterers, Leisure center, Railway station, Aqueduct Plus more.

Very good station. This is maintained by community volunteers AND NOT transport for Wales or the council.

Chirk looks to me like it has a good community spirit. There were signs of appreciation for the NHS and the amazing work done by it during the Covid-19 pandemic of 2020-21 including a unique commemorative wooden bench opposite the war memorial. If shops is your want then there are surprisingly few, but the canal, railway and other nearby attractions such as the Castle make it an excellent base for exploring the area. There is a thriving sports and social club with cricket being played on the Saturday and junior football Sunday afternoon. The bells rang out for the service at St Mary's Church on Sunday morning. It's great to see all these things beginning to get back to normal.
