Got stranded here, absolutely nothing to pass the time in the surrounded area, one of the most desolate stations I've been to. :(
Edit: I was told after I got home that the train companies are meant to find alternative transport such as a taxi if you miss a second train (the last one) because the first had arrived late. I was not notified this by the number that I had phoned on the digital station display. No love for Arriva Trains Wales, I'm afraid.
Cameron Wallace
A very quiet station, situated on the entrance to the Welsh portal of the Severn tunnel. There are 4 platforms. 2 share the line to London and Bristol, while the other 2 ascend towards Gloucester, Cheltenham and the North. Both routes will take commuters to Cardiff for onward travel. The station itself has a rather uneven surface in places. The shelters are spacious but do tend to let the cold wind in and act as a green house during the summer... Services are a little on thin side, but certainly isn't the worst of the UK network. The car park is reasonably sized but not fantastic. A local bus service dies also pick up from there. Overall, its alright, but not overly amazing

An alright station, there is a manned ticket office, a toilet and a coffee stand which are open until 10:30 am, the staff in the ticket office are knowledge and helpful and the man that runs the coffee stand is great. However other than that there is nothing around, not even a toilet (as the toilet is locked after 10:30) so it's not a good station to be stranded at for long, especially as many of the trains in to Wales pass through and many people change trains here.

Passed through this station multiple times yet used it once haha Find it a fine place to see GWR Class 80x IETs passing through at speed Along with some XC Class 170s Wish there was more seating and shelter And I wish there was more of a service

It's desolate, and has limited signposting to find. But worse there is no central board telling you which of the four platforms the train's leave from, you have to go to each one

The sleeping policemen are deadly! We use STJ as a back up when our Chepstow train is cancelled so we are generally always in a rush, and the Speen bumps coming in will destroy your suspension!
