This station won architectural awards when originally built. It was dubbed “Colditz Halt” as the platforms are windswept and bleak. The station is plagued by pigeons and station staff rarely appear on platform. The toilets never work and often the barriers are left open when staff are present causing obvious revenue loss. No flowers, no happiness - what an awful place.

No facilities again it's been almost a month this time around first it was blocked drains then immediately after it was due to vandalism considering the price of travel and the lack of local facilities these sorts of issues should be dealt with it a much more timely manner Update 3 months later and the toilets have been available for a collective 2 weeks total, as a public service that people pay a large amount to use having functioning toilets should be a must surely anyone who uses Eltham is due a percentage refund for the ridiculous housekeeping failures of this station
