If your wanting a professional haulage firm - SEARCH GOOGLE & FIND ONE.

This review is written after first hand experience of employee and management skills, albeit lack of skills!!!

I have photographic evidence should any one want to see how they potentially could have cost my largest contract to date.

Please read below.

We travelled from North Wales to complete work in Newcastle for an extremely high profile client we hire van mounted access platforms too.

I pride my self on my time keeping. An essential part of any professional business.

Sadly I can't attach pictures to highlight the sheer incompetents of this supposed haulage firm employees. Given they are in the transport industry you'd assume they would respect other commercial vehicles in a car park. I had parked with clear access all around, allowing safe and easy departure in the morning.

With one of their Silver Mercedes Vito vans they had totally blocked us in!!!! Parked 2" inches from my access platform bumper.
I was totally trapped in. I took reg from the van and spoke to management in the hotel. It took an hour and a half to raise said idiot from his bed. Management were ringing room and also knocking furiously on the door.

In the mean time I called their head office and spoke to the transport manager explaining the serious situation his employees had caused - I may as well of tried boiling water in a chocolate kettle. He was so unhelpful. You'd of thought as his firm travel the country as I do he realise the gravity of my current predicament. He simply said what do you want me to do about it!!! Obviously ring the idiot who'd parked his van trapping me in. I ended call as I was not in the mood for dealing with such an arrogant man.

Can you imagine how he'd feel if his firm were needed on site at 7am to move an important piece of equipment for say the Ministry of Defence and were running against time restraints of road access etc and I'd blocked his vehicle in what makes it worse the car park we were in had numerous empty spaces all around.

I've been in business for 24 years. I'm saddened that companies such as this have so little respect for other working men travelling the country just as they do....

Without photographic evidence to show my client how I'd been trapped in I'd of lost all my work in the North East. Thankfully the company understood it was Allelys Haulage that had caused this issue.

I hope karma 1 day gives them a taste of how I felt that morning...with the risk of losing an extremely important client.

Receptionist was lovely but the chap she passed me onto was useless, we simply required a fork lift moving and chased several times. Every call ended with I will call you back in 15 minutes, after 2 days I gave up. If you are not intrested in the job required simply explain this rather than waste peoples time.

Allelys were given an Order to deliver three loads to our site in Warwick for time critical installation using a 500ton mobile crane and team of Engineers and Riggers: Order was confirmed by email and during the preceding days and because of reputation for being unreliable, phone three times to ensure everything was organised: First load should have arrived at 8:00am - most professional hauliers will arrive early - at 9.10 phone Allelys to ask where is th first trailer: Was told trailer was on its way and would arrive any moment: Asked when did the vehicle leave so we could estimate its arrival and was told would check and call back: No phone call received: Large expensive crane standing, roof of customers factory to install large machine, men standing waiting since 7/30am: Between 9:15 and 9:20 phoned to say promised return call not received and asked what time did vehicle leave: Was then told what turned out to be another pack of lies that the vehicle had not left because load needed resecuring: To arrive locally in Warwick the vehicle should have left their yard, latest 6.30am: Trailer actually arrived at 10.45am: Very capable driver stated he had worked for Allelys for many years and always he was having to applogise for lateness: He confirmed at 9;20 that morning he had been taken off another job to deliver this trailer: He confirmed, no the trailer had not been secured and he had to secure the trailer. The second trailer also arrived very late and as the driver was getting out of his cab his first words were 'dont shoot the messanger', we are always having to applogise for lateness. Third trailer we supplied to collect one item from Allely warehouse: The driver phoned to say Allely wanted to load two additional items: These items had absolutely nothing to do with us and told our driver to refuse them: Minutes later the driver phoned again saying Allely insists the parts are ours (Our machine was a large dismantled power press: The items Allely were trying to load were off a CNC lathe!! That trailer, is true professional fashion arrived on site early and driver actually applogised for being early.
The first trailer had to collect a second load for delivery to Warwick: Because the trailer was so late, it was equaly late and did not arrive until late afternoon. The end result of this fiasco was us having to pay for a second day on the large crane, had to leave the factory roof off over night and mteam of six engineers / riggers work a second day: The cost to our Compnay was towards £12,000:00. Three times I tried contacting the MD of Allely: Three times he ignored my requests to retrun my calls. When finally he did phone me, his actual words were "Chris, we were not REALLY late" - In total Allely were over 6.5 hours late, told a pack of lies and not once even apologised: Their two drivers were embarassed, apologised profusely and did there best to make amends:
Allely had previously quoted these two vehicles: When they invoiced us they had double charged us !! Upon trying to discuss this by phone and email with Allely, we were met with silence: I have been involved in heavy haulage and heavy installations for over 50 years: Without doiubt I have never ever come across such an unbelievably bad Company as Allely: Would we ever use Allely again? With my last gasp of breath: Never never.
