Ring & Ride - South Birmingham

Always issues. The driver was miserable this morning, why oh why if you don't like your job are you working there. Just when I saw the bus pull up, my dad needs to do a wee! Explain this to the driver, he starts saying, "I'm already running late/got a wheelchair (not a person, a wheelchair!!) to pick up/haven't been to this area before", blah blah blah. That's NOT my problem, exercise some patience, he has dementia. In the end the driver had to wait all of 2 minutes.........

Call up later on to enquire if he could be dropped off at a different address, give dad's reference no. the person on the other end says, "hold on", and puts me on hold for 5 minutes, without even asking me for the address first?!
Then after the wait, was asked the address where I wanted him to go and then told it's out of the area, even though the distance from the centre is a similar distance to his partner's house? When I call to book his trip on a Monday, the same girl always answers and she is so abrupt and cold.
I know this a non-profit organisation....but......that is NO excuse for the customer service to be so bad, c'mon guys you can do better than that, you're doing, what is for many people, an essential service so be proud not surly, uninterested and downright rude! .

Yesterday I suffered 9 fitso on Rr steve our driver raced me to QE hospital he got the office to ring ahead I can't thank steve enough I want to nominate steve for award I very slow this morning I am sue jobbins 9015

The drivers are absolutelyA1, I wish the office staff were as good!

On 27/11/2019 my father was picked up from his location. The driver did not strap in his wheelchair and as he took a turning his wheelchair nearly toppled over but lucky enough it was caught by another passenger.

It was only after this incident that the driver stopped to then secure the wheelchair. Contacted the call desk to find out whether this has been investigated the response we got was disgusting.

We were informed that because my father is an adult he should strap himself in, how is this possible when my father is wheelchair bound and suffers from severe tremors.

They have no duty of care and do not take ownership of people that are using their facilities.

This is absolutely shocking, and as per usual all I get from ring and ride is that we cannot do anything. To anyone that uses this services please ensure that your loved ones are safe.

It's my place of work what more can I say. Other than it's a good place to work resonable hours for resonable pay.
