Barrhead Travel

Booked a holiday using this travel agent recently. They spent a huge amount of time (literally hours) with us helping us to choose an appropriate holiday within our (fairly specific!) requirements. They have access to many different channels of holidays / flights etc which was very useful and a significant degree easier than rather fruitlessly searching through multiple different websites at home. When we subsequently needed to amend our booking they were incredibly helpful. In all, we received a personal level of service rarely found on the high street these days and as such I wanted to take the time to leave them a deserved, excellent review. Thank you.

Got my travel money from there for my trip to Columbia. Usually when you order money they would make you pay up front or take your number so they would call you when it’s ready. But the guy serving me did not . Although was greats service overall. Would recommend that they double check for the training just in case someone did not turn up to pick the money they ordered.

Booked a holiday in January, before lockdown started. I appreciate this is a difficult time BUT, I've emailed 6 times and no one has got back to me.
My wife has had contact from this company twice since January. 1st was an email to say dont forget to make your final payment. Cheeky considering we hadn't missed or delayed any payment.
2and was a phone call to say our flights had changed. Here's the catch though; the hotel we booked and paid for is closed for the season. They know this but haven't told us. I decided to find out myself because no one from barrhead would get in touch with me. And it's a good thing I did because they are sending me and my family on holiday knowing we have no where to stay when we get there!
And, huge surprise, like so many others have said, cant get hold of anyone.
Very nice until they get your money

I booked an holiday which was cancelled 4 month ago. I am still awaiting to receive a refund.
I have tried several times to ask for reassurance but nobody was able to provide a potential date or an explanation despite the holiday was ATOL protected.

Awful costumer service. My sister and I have recently booked an holiday, which was cancelled due to COVID. No refund has been received yet (and it has been more than 5 months since the holiday was cancelled)....

This is the worst travel company I have dealt with. ruined a once in a lifetime trip. staff accessed data portal and cancelled insurance paid for then lied. Head office non existant. lost over 1500 pounds and NEVER consider using this company again

We've been dealing with this branch, Southampton, since Covid started throwing our travels in disarray. Our initial dealings with the Glasgow flagship branch were at the best abysmal. Calls were not answered, emails not responded to. Fortunately, our issues were picked up by the wonderful Sarah of Barrhead Travel in Southampton and as if by magic our troubles were resolved in days. Since then, we've booked repeated holidays via Sarah that have unfortunately been cancelled but refunds have been forthcoming without any issues. If your booking Barrhead, Sarah from Southampton is the one to go to.
