Kuoni at John Lewis

Great source of inspiration and very helpful, knowledgeable staff - but if your travel aspirations deviate from their pre-defined packages and high-volume destinations, they begin to struggle.

Given their volume of business, I'd have expected that they would be able to negotiate volume discounts (vs booking independently) and pass on a portion of the saving to their customers. In reality, pricing seemed broadly in line with independent booking.

Awful experience at the Kuoni store at John Lewis. I was looking to speak to someone for ideas for a honeymoon and the assistant store manager was not interested from her first interaction. She spoke to us briefly before sending us off with some brochures, then we returned later with some destinations in mind, at which point she replied - sorry I have a call to make in 10 minutes so I can't help you. In this 10 minutes that we politely waited on the sofa for another avilable agent, she just went back to stare at the pc screen. She didn't make and effort to ask what type of honeymoon we were looking for, why we chose it, what we were hoping to, our contact details so they can contact us etc. Very poor service from someone who is an assistant manager! Definitely falls short of expectation for John lewis.

Brad was extremely helpful when we showed up in the store. Even though at the end due to other reasons we did not purchase the trip, his great attention is one of the reasons why we will probably go again if we use a travel agency again.

This is a nicely decorated section of the shopping centre. The staff are very polite and helpful. They presented me with several options for my holidays. However, their prices are quite steep. I was able to find the exact same holiday packages at a considerably lower price. It's worth to shop around before you commit or put down a deposit.

We are a gay male couple who got married in June and took our honeymoon in December 2019.
We booked through Kuoni at John Lewis oxford street. Our travel advisor Aleatta was very friendly helpful and attentive and maintained contact on the lead up to our holiday and afterwards. She is an asset to the company. The experience and knowledge that the Kuoni staff have is invaluable in deciding where you want to go and when.
We decided on visiting Sri Lanka and then Athuruga island Maldives for a total of 15 days for which we have done seperate reviews on trip advisor. A phenomenal experience that we shall never forget.
Kuoni required a deposit on booking and then you can pay off the remainder on the lead up to leaving which was helpful for those on a budget.
It was so reassuring when in another country to be met by kuoni staff whenever we got off the plane. They had our names and details and directed us to where we needed to go. It’s very well organised.
Rebecca kept a check on us throughout our stay and even gave us a little leaving present on the way home.
Ensure that you read all the emails or post that Kuoni send you as it has important details and offers... we managed to book our honeymoon preferences (sparkling wine, fruit and flowers on the bed as well as our romantic beach dinner) well in advance of leaving.
The fact that it is booked through kuoni means that you can rest assured that it will be organised and exceptional quality. Thank you to all the staff!

Called for help with a holiday. Spoken with a lady called Sally. Spent 15 minutes explaining what I wanted and going through my budget. Travel agent told me they would get back to me after contacting the villa company however she never called me back. Lost my custom
