The food was beautiful!
My partner and I went here for our dinner before we left Rye with no expectation but turned out to be a delicious and pleasant meal. We had vegetable moussaka, acili ezme, and sucuk to share. The vegetable moussaka was delicious and creamy.

The portion is decent for one main and 2 mezze for two person to share, but could do 2-3 mezze or 2 mains if you're very hungry.

Price wise is reasonable. I would say it's slightly cheaper than ones I've been in London for shisks or grill. For mezzes it's much cheaper though. I think it's worth the price for well cooked, delicious dishes.

(I saw a lady next to us order aubergine with couscous and it was massive. It looked amazing and I'd want to come back to Rye just to have that!)

Only regret is we needed to catch our train so didn't get to enjoy the experience much.

Best kebab I’ve had in ages, I tried the lamb casserole too to expand my pallet and it was amazing, my new favourite!!! My mum loved her mixed kebab. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was very good value for the 3 courses we had.

Amazing Turkish restaurant! We had a lovely lunch and I can confidently say that I had the best hummus of my life there - so good. Very central too so you can easily find it while walking around the town. Recommended!

During our visit in the Rye, we decided to try the Turkish cuisine. I must say that food was amazing. Go and try cold mezze!
Waiting staff were top notch! Friendly and helpful with advising.
Ps. After main course, try coffee, you won't regret it.

Scorching hot day in Rye. Coolest cafe looked to be the Layla. Lucky choice. We had the Rye mixed mezze which they kindly swapped out the seafood dishes for something else. Very tasty. Lovely bottle of beer, Turkish coffee and delish baklava.
Soundtrack was a little Billy Eilish heavy but service was swift and we left seated and ready for the afternoon.

When we were looking at drinks prior to ordering food we saw the Turkish red wine. Lisa, our waitress offered a little taster and it was a lovely accompaniment to our food. It’s rare to be offered a sample and as I run a wine bar I really appreciated that small touch. The food was excellent. A chicken dish, lamb, fresh breads and salad were all excellent. The service was exemplary and food was served so quickly. All the staff were on the ball. Hats off to Lisa and the rest of the staff. Excellent

A cosy restaurant with lovely varied menu and friendly service. We enjoyed a delicious mix of cold and hot meze with baklava for dessert. Good portion size and value for the price.
Worth a visit.

We visited Layla Turkish restaurant after finding that The Fig, just down the street, was packed and unable to serve lunch at 2.45pm. Relieved not to have to fight our way to a table we tried Layla. There was no-one else in the restaurant. The waitress was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We had a two course meal with drinks for £20pp. Tasty plain food. I was disappointed that the falafel looked bought in rather than homemade. This is such a simple thing to make fresh that I've reduced my stars from 5 to 4. We had one in our party eating gluten free (not coeliac) and they were happy to swop out bulgar wheat for chips.
