Kumon Maths & English

My children have been attending this Kumon centre for over two years now. We have consistently found the staff to be highly professional, thorough, organised, kind and supportive.

The programmes take dedication, but there is some flexibility. Children progress at their own individual pace, which makes this a really efficient way to learn.

It is so refreshing to find a reading programme which teaches children to read using 'real' books and real words too. It is also refreshing to find a place where children who don't necessarily 'fit the box' are nurtured and can succeed.

Kumon has been a great help in Maths to my seven year old . He is now in the routine of practicing maths daily and has been enjoying doing it . The staff is very helpful and encouraging.

My son started with Kumon West with Valentina about 1.5 years ago and what a transformation, he started when he was in year 1 at school and at that point had a real struggle to focus on anything for any amount of time, not even a minute, he started with Kumon and when he started he couldn’t sit still there either, was throwing pens and rubbers etc all over the room and didn’t want to focus and now through Valentines magic he goes in with his papers, sits down nicely, focuses on his work and comes out when he is all done – he is a changed boy, a total transformation, worth every penny and more, I couldn’t recommend Kumon with Valentina enough… Thanks so much 

Valentino is a wonderful instructor with so much patience for my little one who started when she had just turned 3years. At the start my daughter could barely sit still and focus for even a minute. But in the 10 months Valentino has been working with her she has made amazing progress. She is so focused and will sit through her whole kumon session of Maths and English uninterrupted and with no problem. Most importantly my daughter loves kumon and will not want to skip a day of her daily work. Valentino has made kumon fun. Her advice is insightful and feedback extremely useful. She is clearly passionate and very experienced and her opinion is extremely valued. I feel that Valentino is on this journey with me as a parent, providing that guidance and support along the way. My daughter will be starting reception in a few months and am confident that she will have a strong start because of the Kumon.

Kumon has been a huge part of both our children’s development and we can’t recommended it enough. It has given them both a best start possible and we can see the rewards now that they are in y12 and y4.
