"We don't check if your Medical Certificate is ready we're short staffed"

Excuse me?? Not everyone can make a trip down every day to come and see on the port if its done? Also what difference does it make comming in person or calling when both are done on port.

Especially after making u pay £25 for it upfront regardless if u can get it or not. "We dont check that" awful

Impossible to book an appointment if you work or have real world commitments. Certain medical receptionist present with a foul attitude and disgusting demeanour, furthermore doctors don't listen to you and purely care about turfing out patients. Medical ombudsman being contacted considering for some students who have just arrived to the UK, that this is their first example of the NHS, it is unsurprising why more and more people are privatising

I personally have made good experiences: relatively quick appointments, friendly staff and help with different issues :)

The care I've recieved is fine, the challenge is getting in! Securing an appointment is like winning a radio sweepstakes...

Absolutely abysmal. Went there to get help for mental health and as soon as I sat down and told the doctor why I was here, they immediately looked like they didn’t want to be here. Asked me to tell them my symptoms and I said I wrote it down, and they made me read it out loud. Was incredibly embarassing. The doctor made the whole atmosphere feel so awkward. After that, my appointment was already done. I had to ASK what happens next and I was told I “could” get a call. I asked from who and when, and I was told it could be a “few months depending on the urgency” ( urgency? doctor was aware of s harm). Left not knowing who would contact me or when, for all I know I’ve probably missed the call if I had it. The whole experience was embarrassing and honestly made my mental health worse. If you’re coming here for help, simply don’t. You’re better off registering somewhere else as it’s clear no one here knows how to respond to people in a mental health crisis! Waste of time and made me feel worse.

absolute nightmare. All i need is my medication that i’ve now had to get on emergency outside campus twice because I can’t get an appointment even though i’ve come in 5 times now.

Impossible to get an appointment. My experience with the doctors are fine but it is near impossible to secure an appointment and receptionist is not the friendliest/most helpful.

EDIT: Looks like the online GP hours are more reasonable now. Original review below.

GP in person is okay, quick and efficient, and the staff are good. Dr Gama is especially good.

However, 2 stars for the simple fact that AskMyGP/the online GP part is now completely useless: "Requests can be submitted Monday - Friday betweem 8 am and 8.30 am and we will respond during normal working hours".

What's the point? It's an online system. Makes it incredibly awkward just to get a new or fresh prescription for basic things like creams.
