Very helpful staff. From the medical administration team to the Residential Services, Facilities Desk all wanting to help.

The grounds are clean and informative displays. The accommodation is a little tired and smaller than other Unis but is undergoing a refurb.

One of the greatest campus I've ever seen.
Coffee and snacks are available just besides the reception.
Great studying experience.
Loving people.

Worst management. No proper response from admissions team. No one will answer calls for student enquiries and live chat will not respond properly. They will play with students life to complete whole application process for admission.

Anglia Ruskin University hates families!!

When looking at ARU from a distance, it looked really friendly with a positive and supportive ambience. However, when you register and travel to ARU, you realize they won’t help you with your accommodation even a bit, especially when you’re with a partner and a child.

I have been here in Chelmsford for 10 days now in a hotel with my wife and 3-year-old daughter. Nobody agrees to let us an apartment to stay in just because we are foreigners and I am a foreign student. After talking to and emailing ARU many times, the final answer has been “sorry you’re on your own”

In short, ARU is a terrible place for a master’s or phd degree for someone with a family because they hate families here and provide zero support for accommodation of those foreign students with families.

I’m already regretting my decision of coming to ARU.

there’s no sense of community at this uni, only societies that actually run are ethnic societies which is great but i have never been more excluded in my life nor have i gotten any semblance of the experiences i would want out of university

also the teaching is just sloppy and unmotivated,, you might as well just stay home and read your a level textbook again
