Helpful staff, friendly lecturers who really know their fields. Once you study there, you are eligible to a college discount on other full, part time and even day courses.

I love it and really encourage others to study there. I have studied RHS Certificate level 2 and 3 and am doing a planting design course at present. I have done cross cutting and chainsaw maintenance too. I have had different lecturers and all of them have been exceptional in their teaching skills.

Good staff have been made redundant in recent years, left with very poorly trained if trained at all? The new staff do not give you the time of day or explain much of the subject that they are teaching. I find that the college is only interested in taking your money!

This college is fantastic concerning to location. All buildings are small, comfortable, surrounded by trees, plants, natural and artificial landscapes. The internal decoration is not always the best, but it promotes students to study. There are many classrooms with big windows: you listen lecture and at the same time enjoy autumn or any other weather from the windows.

I’m a big fan of Writtle college. I’d rather travel there and stay locally (Chelmsford is mega friendly) than use agriculture colleges near where I live (Merrist wood) because the staff and instructors are brilliant people. You’ll go and do your course and end making genuine friends with people. Essex is a friendly county to be honest. I’d highly recommendable the college to anyone.

I love to cycle there. It is surrounded with beautiful plants and trees. This time of the year you can even see horses and their fauls.

Beautiful college, and great college to learn with, would well recommend, I have done RHS level 2 practical horticulture with Writtle and a short course of brickwork in the garden, both excellent. I have booked another short course to also learn paving in the garden.
