Just did the Day 1 maintenance course which was excellent and learnt so much. Highly recommend if you want to be able to adjust your bike for a smoother ride - sorting gears particularly useful!

A fantastic service on my 2nd hand bike. It's like a new bike. Everyone we spoke to was really friendly and easy to communicate with

Used this shop a few times and have a number of issues. There's no proactivity here - ask them to do something and they'll do it. However, I wanted them to check over the bike and check whether anymore work should be done. I've had to go back a couple of times because they haven't solved the problem. It's cheap I guess.

Great community lead bike project, I'd advise you to be patient when visiting as the BBP is focused on giving back to the community and things like that take time!

Volunteer evenings are a friendly, welcoming environment. If you're passionate about cycling and social issues, you'll likely have a great time helping out at the Bike Project!

(They even have Decaf teas for if you're a bit over caffeinated from work...)

I very rarely write bad reviews but on this occasion I had to share my thoughts. I am new to Bristol and in need of a bike. I found these guys online when looking for a local business to support as opposed to offering my money to a large corporation. I was especially impressed by their commitment to community engagement so I made the 1h journey today to visit the store. Unfortunately, I was told I was unable to enter the store by a quite rude store attendant who made it clear she wanted rid of me. She did not answer any of my questions and told me quoite abruptly to come back next week. The whole conversation happened with her standing on the door whilst I was on the street, so I did not get ANY of the vibes or service that I expected based on the website. I have now purchased a bike from halfords despite wanting to support a small business. Its a shame that an organisation that means so well could tarnish their reputation through the hiring of one bad egg!

Booked a Level 2 service (~£100 inc/ parts) and several things included in the service weren't done. Had to return the bike and luckily on the next visit, the staff agreed and repaired them.
Overall, given the premium prices they charge, I was disappointed in the quality of the service and will look elsewhere in future.

Everyone at Bristol Bike Project is always super keen to help. Even when they're busy, they'll still try their best to fit you in as soon as possible. They're always happy to provide tips and best practice, and generally go about business in a very kind and empathetic way. Hats off to you all – you've saved me and my wheels on numerous occasions.

Fantastic place! Visiting Bristol and a had a misbehaving bike! They mended the chain and gear problem and put a second hand derailer on while I waited and got me back on the road within the hour! Can’t think of anywhere else that would be so quick and efficient and very very reasonable on price. Thank you very much indeed. I’d recommend you to anyone with a bike.
