I recently purchased a Mini Cooper from SMC. What a fantastic team! From my initial enquiry, through to test drive and the purchasing process (finance), everything was made so easy. Simon and the team are super friendly, professional and really helpful with any questions. Very much recommend them

I wouldn’t recommend SMC. I part exchanged my car for a Nissan Pulsar with SMC. All seemed ok when we purchased the car and Jamie seemed friendly. I had some outstanding finance on the car I part exchanged and I gave all the details over ready for it to be paid. I had the finance payment for the car I part exchanged come out of my account 2 weeks after I purchased the new car and it turned out it the outstanding finance hadn’t been paid off by SMC so I had to call SMC to remind them to pay the finance off which was done 3 days after my initial call!! I then had to fight to get a refund from the finance company. I was emailing Jamie and my emails didn’t get an answer. Also, I called and explained that there is something wrong with the radio and Bluetooth system which we noticed after we got the car home and I was told I would I might have to take it Nissan but considering I hadn’t long bought the car I asked if I could take it back for someone to look at and after 2 calls to enquire about this I was told someone would speak to the director and call me back, I’m still waiting for that call and that was nearly 2 weeks ago!! The car we purchased has also started making a strange noise which il have to get checked by another garage as I doubt these guys will do anything about it if I tell them! I would use this garage again or recommend to any anyone else!

Please don’t buy a car from these people, car is falling apart and had it 5 Months. Had issues with the car after buying and tried calling the office on numerous occasions and you get the famous ‘they will call you back’ but never do. Shocking after care service (non existing) probably going to be without a car soon. Fantastic 👍 not worth the 1 star.

From stepping onto the forecourt Dayle was very friendly and welcoming. He listened to what I was after and pointed out which vehicles they had which would suit. He gave me plenty of time and wasn’t at all pushy. Dayle was very knowledgeable and made the whole experience smooth and easy from start to finish.

TERRIBLE AFTER SALES!
Before buying a vehicle from this company it was noted that the air conditioning was not working. They promised to resolve this problem before I collected the vehicle after purchasing. After having the car for approximately 3 weeks the air conditioning stopped working. I took it back and was told they’d get it fixed. After waiting several days with no communication from them I decide to ring for an update, only to be told they put more gas in the system but it still does not seem to work correctly. At this point any decent company would have sent the vehicle off to a specialist that knows how to repair air conditioning systems, but they insist on using their in house mechanic that clearly can’t resolve the issue. After lots of phone calls from me to their office and being told it’s fixed and then not fixed I’m now asking for my money back. I’ll review again on how this is handled.

Had a very pleasant experience buying a car from these guys Darren in particular who sold us the car was very friendly, helpful and informative and gave us plenty of space to look and decide and not hovering over you or pushy in anyway like so many are, first class service 👍

Absolutely awful experience. They claim to be AA assured and as a women that had no idea what i was doing with cars, I wrongly assumed I was in good hands.
Firstly check the value, I was charged 12,000 for car that’s worth 3000. Within the first 6 months I have broken down numerous times, I have had several mechanics look over it and been told the car’s radiator has caroded amongst other things that should have been picked up. When i phoned SMC motors the manager was extremely patranising and said it was my fault and not thier problem. Apparently a car can Carode in 6 months! I’m a single mum of 2 small children and highly rely on my car. I’m so gutted I trusted these people and wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy.

Super smooth transaction, polite, no pushing and easy to chat. Love the Gran Tourer, from viewing to driving home in 10 days. Low milage, great at fair price, definitely worth the service. Helped me to arrange privacy glass, check up and MOT before delivery. Great experience. Will come back for another purchase when needed. The transaction was handled by Jamie, and another lady helped to get quote about privacy glass.
