Waste of time. Just because I gave this man 1 star he is calling me and giving me a hassle and texting me saying I have to remove the 1 star I gave him or he will report me to google. I gave him 1 star because the service he provided was worth 1 star. Now I think I will have to report him to the police and the consumer services for my own protection and safeguarding

Purchased a vehicle in February 2022. The following day in the morning noticed two tires are not road legal, rear tire had a bulge in. Yet the vehicle passed its MOT and service on the day of purchase..this should have failed the MOT. I don’t believe the vehicle wasn’t checked properly due to crown autohub forcing the sale through.

42 days after purchase the headgasket blew on the motorway. Crown autohub didn’t want to take responsibility and blamed me for the headgasket blowing, even though I had driven the vehicle 200 miles in just over a month. I received a nasty email saying due to my negligence the gasket blew and they were not doing to do anything about it.

After an independent engineer report which took roughly 4-5 weeks to finalise proved the fault was present at the point of sale Crown autohub agreed to repair the vehicle. I received the vehicle back 16th July 2022. During the time I had no vehicle since (1st April) due to the vehicle having a fault point of sale, they didn’t even give me a courtesy car whilst the car was off-road and being repaired. (Over 4 months with no vehicle) - no worksheets/documents showing the repair has been produced and shared, so to this day it’s uncertain what work had actually been carried out.

After 2 weeks of driving the engine overheating message was back so I rejected the vehicle under the consumer rights act 2015 due to the fault not being repaired and the vehicle not being roadworthy. After another independent engineer confirmed the fault was not fixed, the vehicle was accepted as a rejection through the finance company.

It was then down to crown autohub to collect their vehicle under the consumer rights act, but they refused to collect the vehicle and suggested to drive the vehicle back to them - 80 miles on the motorway with an overheating engine. I refused to do this as it was not safe, but they still didn’t want to collect the vehicle so the finance company agreed to pay for the vehicle to be transported to them.

Upon receiving the vehicle back, crown autohub was clearly not looking to pay back the funds for the vehicle. They wanted to deduct £1 per mile driven. Please note this if you choose to buy a faulty car from crown autohub. They also were looking for deduction after deduction without providing the point of sale photos so that a comparison could be made. I would suggest keeping the photos of the vehicle which they use should you decide to buy a car from crown autohub. They also failed to honour any timelines for providing documents or photos or any agreement to pay back the money spent on the vehicle.

Crown autohub have the vehicle back with them and have still not paid the money back and legal action will be taken against them.

For customers I can’t recommend this as a safe place to buy a vehicle, they don’t care about the safety of the vehicle and they care about the money. They can’t accept their in the wrong and they don’t want any liability.
If this wasn’t the case I wouldn’t have gone through this process with them and they would have paid the money back on the faulty car they sold.
Shame on you Crown autohub!

As for lenders, I’m aware Crown autohub are blacklisted and I’m fairly sure if you read this you will also think twice about partnering with them.

Brought a car that had lots of issues, taking them to court to cover costs. Do not use them
UPDATE: another garage confirmed they had taped up a cracked pipe instead of replacing it

The car engine management light came on after 3 days but they are sorting the problem out.
