First ever car I've bought from a dealer and the experience was floorless. Just passed my test (again at 45 years old, long story) and I wanted a safe reliable car. I was on the lookout for a Volvo XC60 and kept searching though auto trader. Saw Templar cars had one that ticked all the boxes but was just over 200 miles away from my home address. Rang them on the off chance and spoke with Carl first. Seemed very friendly and helpful. Very knowledgeable about the car and what he didn't know, he went and found out and called me back with the information.
Arranged to travel up on the train from the South coast to see the car and as soon as I saw it, I knew I had found the ONE.....

Both Carl and Andy was doing a few jobs that needed attending to on the car and just really dusting her over. Both was really friendly. No stuffy suit type sales men here, which was a massive relief to myself as I wanted the obililty to be able to walk away if something didn't feel right. Carl made me a coffee and we chatted about life in general and the lovely car. I was left alone to look over the car. I got under it, checked it for rust, the tyres, the whole lot. The photos on the website didn't do the car justice. We went for a good long test drive over a mixture of roads, some fast, hills and bends etc. Carl kept it the conversation to a minimum so I could hear the car and get a feel for it.

Back at the showroom we discussed buying the car, I did ask for a discount but I wasn't given one ( don't let that put you off, there's a good reason) Carl explained that the car was £1100 under the recommend price tag ( I checked independently when he popped out of the office for a few minutes on my phone, he was correct)

I agreed to the sale price and went ahead and bought the car. Carl helped me tax it before I left and walked me round the car and showed me how everything thing worked on it as I had a long drive home ahead of me. because of the distance I had traveled both Carl and Andy gave me 6 months warranty instead of the usual 3 months plus 6 Months breakdown cover.

The car had 12 months MOT and a brilliant service history from Volvo. A quarter of a tank of fuel. The previous owner had really looked after it and the car was a part exchange from a previous sale.

Overall I'm very pleased with the car, my children love it as does my wife. I'm obviously hoping I don't ever need to use the warranty but I have peace of mind if some goes wrong. It's going to take some getting used too driving something so big and stylish.

When my wife passes her test, we know where to go first for her car. It was worth the trip. I can't recommend these guys enough. Thank you gentlemen for a smooth transition. Brilliant customer service.

We recently purchased a truck from Templar Cars, customer service was first class, friendly and professional. There were a couple of things that needed to be done and we agreed for it to be returned at a later date for the work to be completed. This week we got a call to say the parts had arrived and the job was completed without delay. Its just so refreshing to deal with a company that values its customers and is reliable and honest. I travelled down from greater Manchester to view my new Suzuki Swift and was not disappointed one bit, and found it to be exactly as the photos showed. I’m Very happy with the car and the customer service I received ( they even made me a lovely cup of tea ) Thank you so much guys 😊

My wife bought a Suzuki Jimmy, she had to get rid of her Toyota Ago, as being disabled she was having trouble getting in and out of it.
She opted for the Jimmy because as it is high up it was easy for her to get in and out of. We had previously hired them on holidays to Greece and Kos so she knew what to expect .
Temple cars were spot on having the car serviced and an excellent valeting job, even going down to the Post office to tax , and change vehicle taxation class to Disables.
They have a large selection of pre owned cars at fair prices in our opinion. Would definitely recommend and use again👍

This place deserves the 5 star reviews it receives. After having a week of talking to rude, desperate and arrogant dealers, this place is truly a breath of fresh air.

Both Andy and Karl who I spent most of my time with, were very pleasant to deal with. Despite arriving 1 hour early to my appointment and the team having 2 men down, both were able to accommodate my premature arrival and demonstrate flexibility.

Andy greeted me with a friendly smile and gave me a good 10-15 minutes to look at the car without any pressure or eyes burning in the back of my head. I then met Karl who allowed me to look at the car in more detail. He ran through the cars service history and explained in depth what recent repairs and checks the car had. He demonstrated a good knowledge of the cars features and answered some questions I hadn't thought of myself. There was a great feeling of transparency and reassurance about what I would be potentially purchasing. The process was very personable and the environment was relaxed as at no point had I felt obliged or pressured into purchasing the car. It is abundantly clear that there was a genuine sincerity from Karl with regards to making sure customers bought a product they were completely happy with. After completing a thorough check of the car and completing a test drive, the administrative/buying process was just as easygoing. Karl explained in depth the warranty (a reassuring feature of the sale) and all other paper work, before taking the time to run off to sort out the tax and order me a log book at the post office. This was something I could have done myself, but it illustrates the class of the dealership, going above and beyond for their customers. A unique and enjoyable experience which was top class. Other dealerships should take note.

As for the car, I was worried the photos made the car look better than it was, but when I arrived it was the reverse. Breaks looked brand new; front two tyres were new and replaced; clutch was in good condition; seats were immaculate with no stains; engine was clean; paint work was near spotless so the car was in super neat condition overall. Priced competitively on auto trader, with the warranty included and customer service, it's worth every penny. I paid £4790 for this. A similar car was £5000+ without the benefits of a warranty included in the price. So you know you are getting a good deal. It feels cheeky even attempting to haggle! And although this was slightly over my budget it was worth it. Car had more than enough fuel in the tank to get me home too.

As a young guy looking to buy his first decent car, I must say I got really lucky with this place. Many places I had phoned prior discriminated on my age and made assumptions of me before stepping in the door. This was definitely worth the trip up north and I have been thoroughly impressed with the service from start to finish. Whatever Karl and Andy are doing, they are doing it right. You will not be disappointed with a purchase from here. I was genuinely chuffed on the drive home.

i visited 1 month ago with my daughter to view a vehicle.on arrival we were greeted and asked which vehicle. from then on we were not pressured or questioned but left alone until we were ready for a test drive. the sales people ,Andrew and Carl were nothing but helpful. while my daughter was out i actually bought a car myself . all in all we bought 2 vehicles.both were as described and superbly presented. we picked both up 3 days later without fuss and went on our way .4 weeks later i found a small but expensive issue with my car.i rang them up and again without any fuss or hesitation the car was booked in to have the part replaced .i can only say the service was brilliant.they were all friendly,helpful and extremely professional throughout the process. i would have no hesitation recommending them to anyone and we will certainly consider them first when looking to replace our current cars .
