Aldenham Cars

I recently viewed a car here but didn't end up buying it.

- It seems to be a two person operation.
- They have a small premises with all of the cars blocking each other in (I traveled a long way to view a car, by appointment, to discover it blocked in by 6-8 other vehicles).
- They seem to have a policy that means you cannot test drive a car unless you essentially commit to buying it first (to then have to provide good reason as to why the car is no good to be able to 'withdraw' from the sale). I was asked for a (refundable) deposit and to agree a deal prior to a test drive. I didn't feel comfortable about the prospect of having to 'justify' my money back if the vehicle was not to my liking.
- On discussing a deal they became quite pushy for a decision, citing other very interested parties, etc.

Overall it put me off purchasing a vehicle from them.
I ended up buying one elsewhere that I could actually take for a 'no strings attached' test drive!

Restored my faith in the used car business! Chris is a gentleman and he isn't out to rip people off. I was 100% happy with car he sold me and he gave me a good price for car I part exchanged. Simple and easy part ex process and all in all a really good experience. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Aldenham Cars to my family, friends & colleagues.

I was interesting in buying a Mercedes I saw advertised on the Aldenham website. From the first call through to site visit and test drive, I have nothing but praise for the knowledgeable and professional approach I experienced. The guidance provided was excellent and there was no pressure whatsoever. Test drive was no problem and the sales guy (Chris) was very happy for me to take the vehicle out a second time after I realised I hadn't tried something! Highly recommended and I will have no hesitation to use Aldenham Cars in the future.

We had a great experience with Chris at Aldenham Cars. All the cars were well presented and he has a nice showroom. He was not pushy, knowledgable on the cars and straight forward to deal with on a trade in and purchase. He has been really helpful with a minor follow up on the car but all told I would recommend Chris

Bought a lovely sl350 from Aldenham cars yesterday. Genuine and honest, not pushy at all. Made the process pleasant and easy. Will be back later in the year chris to see what’s for sale.
