Bought a car here. Overall a good experience.

Pros:

- Car was very well presented. Front and center in showroom on my arrival to view it.
- Rav was polite and responsive. Gave me plenty of time to view the car alone before accompanying me on a test drive.
- The car was of a high quality mechanically
- A warrantied fault was fixed promptly

Cons:

- Price of the vehicle was on the high side
- Was unable to offer a hire vehicle during warranty repairs in my case

In conclusion, this is one of the better used car dealerships. Not perfect but definitely worth a visit.

I thought I’d give an update regarding the purchase of my vehicle when recently taking ownership of my vehicle the car was immaculate after a month or two the paintwork started to reveal various scratches all over the car this must’ve been from basic detailing and in addition to that the car developed a fault quite clearly which they didn’t rectify just because it was outside the warranty date I was constantly told there was nothing wrong with the car as it had needed a new thermostat replaced which gradually got worse as I drove the car around if you don’t know the thermostat is a sensor which keeps the cars engine operating at normal temperatures so when I raised the issue they said it was supposedly normal ( totally not ) just becuase it’s operating within its limits doesn’t mean it isn’t faulty technically it should've been replaced before they gave it to me I had to get the car job done with vw which is now resolved after forking out £400 out my own pocket customer service was brilliant but when it comes to issues they seem not to be cooperative enough especially if they think you no nothing about cars which isn’t the case for me thanks anyway select motor group has been great all the way up until the car developed a minor fault i would’ve given you a 5 star but I think it’s fair to say 3

Okay guys my name is Adrian-Paul from Yorkshire where do we start going back to 2018 people know that Yorkshire geezers like a good deal, I purchased a white Ford Mondeo from Mr Bhardwaj I did a lot of research on select motor group and read lots into it about being a family business and the reviews were all good, I rang the garage up and arranged to see the car via photographs which Mr Bhardwaj sent me with great pleasure after looking at the photographs I had a Peugeot 308CC in black which I wanted to part exchange .The deal went absolutely superb first time meeting Mr Bhardwaj was absolutely fantastic and what a dude and pleasure to do business with, we had a few teething problems along the way but they was sorted out with immediate effect Great team at Motor select all the staff are absolutely spot-on going from top to bottom in staff and perfect this was way back in 2018 !! so people out there don’t Hesitate to take a look at the website so coming forward to present day again I was looking for a new car and guess what you guessed it I was back again to Mr Bhardwaj but this time went on first name terms Rav the Geezer as I call him and this time built a great relationship with this man and again the deal was done all on line and telephone with great trust in the family business my new Mercedes CLS 220D premium line is beautiful and yes take a look I’m genuine person you’ll see both of my cars that I’ve bought on the platforms.

I purchased an ford Mondeo back in July and I thought why put a review based on the purchase thought I'd wait to see how car is ect .... And I can honestly say from the 1st phone call right through to now was a brilliant experience car has been fantastic absolutely love it couldn't of purchased from a better company very happy that really do have the customer at heart 👍 will definitely revisit when my time comes for a car change

I don't normally leave reviews however I was very pleased with the service from Select Motor Group. Rav the sales person explained everything very clearly. I am very pleased with the car; great condition, mileage and good value. I would recommend this garage.

I purchased a BMW for my husband from select motor group as a surprise birthday gift. Knowing very little about cars myself. Rav was able to help me with all the information I needed. Communication was fantastic, I was kept up to date throughout the process of the sale. Its safe to say my husband loves his new car. We have not had any issues with the car itself. We taken the car to a BMW garage for a service and inspection soon after purchase. All is good as suspected. I would definitely use select motor group again if I was looking to buy another car in the future.

ill start at the beginning, I called into select about 2 week ago and boy what an experience i spoke to a very friendly member of staff called mark. i called firstly to ask about the service history and condition. he explained that he would have to look in to the history but would get back to me, mark did this within 10 minutes. After this phone call i booked an appointment to view the car. i requested a video walk round as i am quite far away from the business. 10 minutes passed again i checked my emails there was a 3 minute video of the vehicle which showed me the exterior and the screen in the vehicle which i found most important. I then went to view the vehicle with mark after a lengthy test drive i came back in to the dealership he explain through some funding option with me i intended to pay with a bank loan but after speaking with mark and he explained through PCP option with me i chose this route as i get more protection. i drove the car away 2 days later. i would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff at select of their professional and welcoming attitude even when they were busy all the staff said hello. when i picked the vehicle up it had been professionally valeted even though it didn't need it!

i would 100% recommend that people buy from this dealer nothing was too much trouble. i will look forward to buying another vehicle from these guys once i need another.

My partner and I were interested in buying a white Jaguar XE reg OW65 priced just under £16k. My partner made a reservation online for the vehicle and it said the garage would make contact to arrange payment of the deposit. Nobody called.

My partner called and spoke to Mark. My partner explained he was a cash buyer but Mark said he preferred cars were purchased on finance because the customer get better protection etc. Mark said he was using the Jaguar and the mileage might go up slightly .We said we would call the following day which we did.

When we spoke to Mark again he wasn’t willing to take the deposit there and then. He said that he was with a customer and the customer was going to use the Jaguar because the customers personalised number plates hadn’t arrived for the car they had purchased. Mark said they lived near to him so he would then pick the Jaguar back up for me to to then arrange a viewing with him on the Thursday. He said he would call me back to take the deposit. He never called. I called several times that day and eventually my partner spoke to him.

Mark was very apologetic saying that the business was running slower than usual and they had been experiencing technical / computer problems that not even their IT expert who had a IT degree could fix. My partner was patient and understating listening to this long winded explanation as to why he hadn’t called back. Mark then said that the engine management light had illuminated on the jag which he perceived not to be a problem and said it just needed a good run on the motorway. He said as a double check he would have the garage check it Thursday morning. He actually said we had been patient and promised us a phone call Thursday and took down all our particulars. He said the details were put on a reservation form to indicate to his colleagues that the car was in the process of being sold.

Thursday we didn’t receive any phone calls so we phoned back Friday and he said he hadn’t received any news yet about the car and said it should be with him in the afternoon and he would call back to update us. Again he didn’t call.

My partner phoned today to ask what was happening and our dissatisfaction of Mark not returning any of our calls. He became argumentative and went into a rant about how busy they are. He wouldn’t allow him a word in edge ways. We explained that he shouldn’t have promised to call if he wasn’t going to. He said “why would I call if I’ve got nothing to report back”. We said “because you promised to call, and if you have no update just call to say that”. He then said “I might sale it to trade anyway” because of the fault with the car, even though he said that he hadn’t had the diagnostic back at this point which was strange.

His customer service and argumentative nature was appalling when willing to spend £16k plus. We were so patient and understanding but there seems to be an underlining reason why he wasn’t willing to sale the car to us and some dishonesty as the reason for not taking the deposit seemed to change every time we spoke to him. He said he would update us as soon as he knew anything more information.

Within minutes of our telephone call, Mark called back to say he was taking the car off sale and would probably sale it to trade. This decision was probably made after we complained about his service.

Totally bemused and bewildered by the customer service. On hindsight we thought it was probably wise not to but from this garage, because what service would you get if you experienced any problems with the car?

This is an honest review. Had Mark not treated us is way and been honest instead of wasting our time we wouldn’t have left a bad review. Shocking service.
