Contacted GH Motors about a vehicle they had advertised on the internet which was advertised as “Excellent Bodywork”.
As part of a deal I requested for the cam belt on the vehicle to be replaced and I would go ahead with the sale.
GH Agreed and said they would call me once the car was ready. Therefore I placed a £100 deposit to secure the vehicle.
2 weeks passed and I’d still not heard from GH therefore I chased them myself and
We eventually arranged a collection date.
And collection date came,
I turned up on site, The car was covered in scratches, very very poor body work and the engine was 2 inches thick in Mud.
I said I was no longer interested in the vehicle and felt like I was entitled to my deposit back because I’d been miss sold the vehicle.
GH said they were not going to give me my deposit back.
I gave them the option of giving me my deposit back or I’ll write a review about the experience I’ve had on the internet.
(I wouldn’t of done this providing they returned my deposit)
GH then replied saying -
“I’d rather take a bad review and don’t forget we have your address.”
I would deem this as a threat which has come from the company owner himself Gareth.

Big thank you to Gareth
My partner was able to get the car back to the dealership, who diagnosed the problem and advised that it's best she does not have the car back given that there were a few different issues with the vehicle that they were not confident in rectifying and returning to her. As a result, she was offered an older, lower-spec car with more miles that she did not want, so she opted for a refund.
On the day of collecting the Nissan, her old car had been sold, meaning that she was now in a position whereby she would be without a vehicle. The dealership agreed to let her have a courtesy car until she was refunded for the value she had purchased, which we were happy with. However this meant that over the Christmas period, we were under pressure to source another vehicle which was far from ideal and caused its challenges.
To cut a long story short, even though the inconvenience was time-consuming and stressfull we would not have left a bad review other than handling the refund. We were not asking to be compensated in any way even though ;
*The car had broken down on a dangerous country lane
*The car had been in our possession for less than 24 hours
*We had to make three journeys back to the dealership
*My partner was no longer able to have the car she had purchased
*We had to spend the whole Christmas period looking for a car
*Driving out to view cars
*Lost out on another car my partner wanted as the dealership could not refund her for five days
We asked that the dealership refund the £90 of fuel put in the Qashqai and not used. As a matter of principle there is no way we should end up out of pocket, given what had happened. Unfortunately, the dealership owner point blank refused this request in any way, shape of form.
Two weeks wasted
£90 down
Back to square one
Never again
And after speaking to dvla for over 8 weeks and no paper work sent for my vehicle ?
1. Sorry but you can't blame the royal mail strikes when online it's done straight away and you get your log book in 3 to 5 days confirmed by DVLA bought and sold many cars my self never had issues like this and why do it by post when everything is online now ?
2. Bought my car in October spoken many times with DVLA unfortunately I had to send in a V62 form to apply for my log book myself. If you sent it off I wouldn't have had to apply myself be warned if I didn't contact Dvla it would have cost me another £25 for the log book 🤔
3. I wish I read the reviews that people left regarding not getting the V5 logbook due to GH motors not sending it off I would have not left the site until it was done.
DONT BLAME DVLA OR ROYAL MAIL STRIKES IF YOU DO IT ONLINE YOU CAN CHECK IF THEY HAVE UPDATED V5 THE NEXT DAY ITS THAT SIMPLE WHY MAKE MORE WORK BY POSTING IT MOVE ON WITH THE TIMES. CAUSED ME SO MANY PROBLEMS AND WASTED TIME CALLING DVLA REGULAR WHAT A LET DOWN.
YES I HAVE MY LOG NOW AFTER APPLYING WITH A V62 FORM TOOK OVER 8 WEEKS THANKS ALOT GH MOTORS WHAT A WASTE OF TIME. 😭😡
