Suffolk Secrets

Very disappointing accommodation which can only be described as dark damp and grubby. Once we got over the spiders and cobwebs we were faced with
very badly stained mattresses that were too damp to sleep on.

We were mortified and left after one night with no sleep,.

The agency has not had the courtesy to call.

On going complaint...................................

Three days since we returned home but still no contact from SCH -
No apology, no concern, no interest. in our ruined holiday.

Awesome stay! The cottage was amazing, we had a super time. A big thanks to the Suffolk Cottage Holidays team.

We hired Brambles cottage over the New year period. The location was fantastic but the bungalow was NOT a four star property. We had numerous issues, NONE of which was sorted by the holiday company or owner, including a significant INFESTATION of bugs in the kids dorm. VERY POOR SERVICE.

Booking was easy, friendly and helpful staff.
The property was outstanding, true tranquility. A perfect exquisite escape, and not far from amenities and beach. A true getaway. Everything you could ask for all in one space and the host was amazing. Scenic view brilliant, quite location.

The company refuse to refund our deposit for a booking we could not attend due to lockdown. Have not offered any suitable alternative dates and despite the terms and conditions of our booking, are refusing to release our deposit which is over £1000. I would steer clear of this company who do not respect the rights of their customers.

Was looking to book a cottage to stay over Christmas period, but didn't have any properties which fit our criteria. We have previously booked a cottage with your company and was very happy with the property we stayed at .

Poor quality = The basic lack of inspection of premises
Poor value = Understanding the competition and customer expectations
Not professional = inability to see "customer first"
Not responsive = not heard from customer services. !

I will start with COVID deep clean and the fact that you have to vacate at 09.00 to enable this to happen.
Yet when you arrive at 16.00 the place hasn't been touched!!
Our rental, Lime tree cottage was appalling, dirty linen left , cobwebs everywhere, crumbs in chairs , dirty loos etc.
Not what you expect for £1000 week in October.
Repeated calls got the linen delivered and following day a visit to Southwold office advised them of an horrendous smell in the kitchen and wasps in the bathroom.
We got a sort of response after one of the party was stung.
The saga continued but I won't bore you with that.
So , basically a filthy place not managed .

Booked a large house for 26 people and had some questions about the number of people that could visit. Talked to Heidi who was very very helpful. Although the owner of the property lived overseas and was not contactable Heidi did some research to find the key holder and obtained the answers to the questions I had asked.
