Aberdovey Cottages

A great place to stay, right on the sea front, ground floor. Beautifully restored Captain's cottage. Everything in good condition, all amenities provided, ideal for families too.

The location was absolutely amazing. The view was fantastic. The seating area out the front was lovely.
On arrival the apartment was spotless. We had everything we needed, the utensils were fab.
We had 2 adults, 2 children which was fine but it’s probably better for couples. As the price was good we didn’t mind being a little uncomfortable on the sofa bed.
Aberdovey is a truly beautiful place and we are chuffed to bits with our holiday. The dog also loved it.

We stayed in Otago one, it was beautifully clean and the whole process went really smoothly.

Sadly I need to leave a part negative review about our stay at the view. Upon arrival there was dried bird poo all over the main windows, which hasn’t been cleaned for quite a while. The owner arranged to have it cleaned some days later after we raised the issue, but you don’t present a rental in this condition when people want to look at the nice view through the only main window. The internet was really poor and the maintainable man even checked the internet in the apartments below that weren’t great either with the telecoms provider on the phone . When I say not great in respect of 0.5 meg upload speed that you can’t even watch any of the normal netflicks, i player on the tv. We were told this would be looked into, but received no feedback. The owner did offer one of the rooms on his house for my wife to complete online lessons, but it wasn’t appropriate doing this in someone’s house. My wife ended up driving into towyn for 3 days to complete her online lessons. The smoke alarms were very annoying with one bleeping away requiring a visit to change the batteries. Again something that should have been. Checked before arrival. The smoke alarm upstairs fell off the ceiling and wouldn’t fix back on.the abstractor in the kitchen was absolutely useless when cooking actually setting the smoke alarms off….very annoying. No laundry bag to put all the bed clothes into when stripling the beds, which again was another thing not checked, but incidentally on the check list you are asked to check.
I think this place is ok for a few days but not a week, as many things not up up standard when you have paid a rental cost for something that should be checked. Parts of the apartment had cracks in the walls and would benefit from a lick of paint aswell. The roof top garden was nice along with other aspects of the apartment hence giving the place 3 stars.it’s a shame that many parts of lack of attention to detail in checking before guests arrived resulted in us actually meshing the apartment a day early going home. We had simply had enough of the terrible internet unable to use any apps on the tv based on the poor speed. I’ve been coming to Aber for years and this is sadly the first poor experience we’ve had with a rental. This was fed back via the maintenance team who said they would pass the feedback via the owner.

Loved this apartment. Aelfor 1. Ground floor, right on the beach and with a lovely seating area at the front to catch the sun all day if you just want to sit and take in the atmosphere! Dog friendly too. Immaculate apartment. I would highly recommend. Lots to do in and around Aberdovey.

Lovely apartment in a perfect location , kitchen wasn’t very clean , dirty glasses and cutlery and outside area at the back of property was not very clean either . Didn’t ruin our trip but was a little disappointing.

Well stocked with everything you will need. Min Y Mor was very comfotable, clean and has all mod cons.
Sit in the window and watch the World go by!
