I have used them (Colchester & Halsted actually) most times now and they are so trustworthy and extremely reliable.
As a former soldier and veteran I highly recommend them you will not be disappointed in their services.
Booked a Hyundai Tucson for an August family holiday in early April. Everything was confirmed and paperwork sorted. Phoned up mid July to double check all was still well and everything confirmed. 2 days before picking up the rental, I had a call to say that the car I was having had an issue where it would squeal sometimes which they had not witnessed but was OK to drive. At this point I was told I was having a Kia ceed which was a different smaller group of car to what I had booked. When explaining this there was little interest and was told everything else is booked up so take it or cancel which could not be done 2 days before going away. I was told it was the same group of car anyway as it was an estate.
When I got there, firstly the original car we booked was sitting there and then was greeted with a miserable woman who could barely muster to tell me what the fuel type was for the car and gave me the keys and sodded off with no basic car instructions like you would expect. I have rented many cars before and never not had basic walkaround instructions or how to open fuel cap etc. I then found that the car was not an estate and was a hatchback from a lower size group. At this point, I could not be bothered to argue the toss and just wanted to get going.
The car that apparently only squeals sometimes and so little that they had not witnessed it in fact did it everytime you braked or went downhill to the point that pedestrians jumped when we went past with the noise as it did it whenever the hybrid recharged so another lie to add to the tally.
There can only be two reasons for why we was given a smaller broken car from a different class when we had booked months way in advance and was still confirmed in mid July. It was either incompetence or more likely that the rental prices had gone up since I had booked and they could make a bigger profit on a last minute booking which had almost doubled in price on the original car.
One positive I will say, is that the guy I returned the car to was far more friendlier. The price was ok but beware, you get what you pay for and this company seems to lie their way through the process.
