Northgate Vehicle Hire - Ipswich

Criminals!!!! Booked and paid for van for the week at 9am on a Monday (after reading that they are able to accept previous driving convictions older than 5 years in their T&C's). My pick up time was 11:30, I got there for 10 in the hope I could take it away early. When I got there they looked at my license and told me they were unable to give me a vehicle due to previous convictions, they then went on to say I wont be getting my money back either, I spoke to a manager at head office who echoed what the ipswich branch said. In the end I spoke with trading standards who advised me to write a letter with my intention and demand my money back otherwise, trading standards will further investigate what is clearly criminal activity. (They refunded my money!!) Staff are rude and arrogant, head office management are no better! My advise is to spend a few quid more with someone else and get looked after.

Absolutely awful. Ruined our job as the van we booked didn't turn up. They just cancelled it! So unprofessional and so much money wasted on other machinery hired.

Never had any issues here. Staff are very polite, friendly and professional. Reception area is always clean and tidy. They appear to have handled the lastest covid restrictions very well too. I have no choice to use them as its where the company van in from, however if I was choosing a company I would definitely choose these and recommend them to anyone requiring there services.

Waited 3 hours for a standard service and a tyre change on the van thats being hired. Great staff though

We go here regularly with company vehicles and you always have to wait ages maybe an hour just to drop a vehicle off and collect a replacement. They also say vehicle fixed you collect and the same fault is still there

As always, good customer service, and work on van done within time limits quoted.
