B&T Hire Motor Rentals

The van was great. Unfortunately there was no indication that they have no early return policy in place, meaning if you book for a certain period and are able to return the vehicle before that time your money is still taken for the time you booked. In short, I booked for three days but got my work done in one, but they still took three days equating to £200 loss. A painful learning experience. Be aware of this when booking with B&T Hire.

Atrocious treatment.
We had a van booked for House contents removal to storage. When booking over the Phone i was told i needed to bring Licence, proof of address, no mention of it having to have been delivered through the Door and not downloaded!! what century do they live in? hardly anybody has Utility bills or Council tax etc physically put through the Door, and if i was told that was how it had to be i would have queried it!!
The man we dealt with was very officious and the typical jobsworth, he was revelling in the fact that he'd ruined our plans, he seemed to be loving it without any sort of apology or sympathy.
So after grovelling for about 15 mins making all sorts of suggestions and us getting more and more annoyed and my Wife bursting into tears,i told my Wife that we're going and i walked out whilst she remained inside where he was telling her he could phone the Insurers, which he knew full well they would insist on it to be posted through the Door proof as a previous poster mentioned they always refuse, so i said to him that if he could do that now why is it he didn't suggest it in the 1st place instead of putting us through all the upset!! he didn't like that, he couldn't really explain why, and said that he wasn't going to hire the Van to us saying that it,s my fault that it,s ended up the way it has.Well what could he expect when you treat people the way he treated us?
The whole nasty experience had a happy ending, we arranged for 2 men and a Van to move the stuff so not only did i not have to lift a finger to do the loading, it was cheaper than the Hire van and we were treated with respect and friendliness.

Very friendly staff, Paul and Aaron made the process painless. The van was was very clean and just what I needed.

Hired the van for Day an a half but he definitely did say if I return within the day I get charged for 1 day only. Charged for 1 day in a half. When i questioned this he rudely dismissed it. No talk of the extra fuel left in the van either.Taking buisiness elswhere.

Very good company with friendly professional staff who explain everything you need to know when hiring a vehicle, we hired a 7.5 tonne truck for a house move and booked a week in advance, the truck was perfect for our needs and was in good condition for a hire vehicle, it was nice to drive and it had a working radio! (unlike my work truck). I've used this company twice now and will definitely be back if needs be, I would recommend them! But don't forget, you need to book in advance.

Recently hired a short wheel base transit custom to move home. The experience from start to finish was very easy, professional and friendly. They give a full walk around of the vehicle to highlight existing damage and supply the vehicle fully fuelled, and refuel the van themselves and charge supermarket prices for the fuel.

Would highly recommend!

My first time driving a van and B&T were really great. Very thorough, clear and helpful throughout and all at a reasonable price. Would definitely hire from them again in future. Thanks for all the help.
