I'm always a bit on guard when dealing with car and van hire places.. I always seem to be stung with extra charges or otherwise get turned over.. So it was a refreshing change to have a good experience at Practical in Saltney. I booked the night before, great rate, picked up an immaculate, brand new VW Transporter the next day. Ben, the chap I dealt with was professional, courteous and went the extra mile by offering use of a motorbike ramp ( I was picking up a motorbike) I dropped the van off overnight, my deposit was refunded. All super easy and stress free. I will definitely be back. Two thumbs up.

They contacted us the week before the booking date to advise the van we had hired would be unavailable and upgraded us to a bigger van free of charge. They even let us keep the van overnight as we were delayed. Excellent personal service from both, highly recommend!

Had a 2 week hire of a Transit for a part business, part holiday trip to Scotland during an unexpected cold spell. Received a newish van in good condition that we used all of its winter weather features more than we expected as most of the trip was sub zero temperatures. Electrically heated windscreen, mirrors and seats were used most days and the traction control did a great job on some icy roads.
