The Veincentre in Southampton offers a great service. It was friendly clean and professional. I’ve had a problem with my veins for many years, having nightly “cramp” attacks. Since my first treatment before Christmas I’ve not had a cramp attack. I live on the Isle of Wight and have had to cross the Solent for treatment, that hasn’t been a problem with the appointments, I was fitted in at times that suited me. The treatment has eradicated my vein problem where I had “bundles” of grotesque looking veins on both legs reaching from my shin to the very top of the legs. These have now disappeared. I would recommend the Veincentre Southampton if you have a problem with your veins, after the initial check up advice will be given on the correct action to take. I took the advice as so very pleased with the result. Thank you for the whole team.

After many years of wanting my veins removed I finally decided to go for it. Having read reviews about the vien centre I contacted them and soon had my 1st appointment where I was given all the information I needed and looked forward to my procedure. I waited untill the weather was slightly cooler knowing I'd need to wear compresion stockings for at least a week continuously which actually was much easier than I expected.
I had EVLA on 1 leg and Scelrotherapy on both, the treatment was painless and straight forward and I was put at ease throughout the whole procedure. The following 10 days as the healing process started my legs were more bruised than I had anticipated and rather tight, knowing at any time I could contact the vein centre if I experienced any problems, which I didn't.
At my follow up appointment 7 weeks later I had a little more treatment which was as easy as the 1st. My legs continue to improve every day and I wouldn't hessitate to contact the vein centre if I felt I needed more treatment. I'm so looking forward to next summer in my shorts, it was well worth the money. Thank you Dr Nigel Hacking and the team.

I found the Clinic very clean, well laid out. It was warm and staff were very welcoming. Mr Wijesinghe was very professional and carried out the treatment extremely well, together with the nurse present. He was very calming and reassuring during my treatment, not all "god-like" which I have come across with other consultants in the NHS.
I was sent clinical reports together with after care information. A very nice experience even though there was some discomfort in the legs. It is a pity the NHS no longer treat veins.

After my consultation at the Southampton branch, I booked treatment to have EVLA and Foam Sclerotherapy on both legs by Consultant Dr Mark Bratby. I had 2 very protruding tangled veins from thigh to calf in each leg. The treatment took about an hour. There was discomfort for a few minutes during one of the procedures. I wore support stockings for the next 7 days, and then watched over the next 5 weeks as my legs changed and the veins started disappearing. They were bruised and discoloured at first, and I had some aching and soreness down my legs. Yesterday I had my follow up appointment and both veins have completely gone! Yes honestly, it is unbelievable, a real game changer !!! Dr Mark Bratby and his support team, have done an absolutely amazing job. It is the best thing I have done for myself in years and should had done this sooner of course. The team are well organised, friendly, they listen to your needs and keep you informed every step of the way. They are experts in this field, so you are in safe hands. The whole process went smoothly and the outcome is fantastic, better than I imagined! Don’t waste anymore time thinking about it .. just book an appointment.

Good professional friendly service. Price quoted was reasonable and not exceeded. After Ultrasound assessment on first visit, only one leg required surgery. You are given lots of opportunities to discuss anything of concern. Second visit was the actual lazer surgery which I did find very uncomfortable for a short time. Then one week wearing support stocking, which could not be removed, so showering in it was odd, and time consuming as had to dry out before dressing (I used a hair dryer). My thigh was very sore for 4 days too. Third visit 7 weeks later to assess areas treated and do smaller veins (stocking to be worn again). NB do not expect perfection straight away, it takes months!

Everyone at Southampton vein centre thank you very much…. Without a doubt the best I’ve been looked after with regards to staff politeness, information given, follow up emails or phone calls and making the whole experience less intimidating while putting me at ease. Even when ringing head office they couldn’t do enough for me.
From the minute I walked through the door at Southampton I was made to feel welcome, being offered a hot or cold drink by the lovely receptionist Ann - Marie whom made immediate conversation with me and tried to make me as comfortable as possible.
Dr Lasantha Wijesinghe was absolutely superb. He explained everything about EVLA and foam sclerotherapy treatments and talked to me throughout the procedure which definitely wasn’t as bad as I had envisaged. The outcome has been amazing. No more throbbing legs and the main cause of my varicose veins has been holted. Upon having my follow up appointment I now need to wait for the remaining veins in my legs to disappear.
Thank you so much to the nurses and staff .
I’m over the moon.
