This practice is amazing! Our dog was previously treated by another local practice and after 2 months they did not know what was wrong with him. He went through a lot until we found Hendersons Vets in Surbiton. The reception team were so caring and professional that we came for a second opinion. We were able to see 2 specialists and within 2 weeks they knew what was wrong him and had started to treat him. That was 4 months ago and we are so happy as he's still doing great!

Unlike our previous Vets, we did not have to go to a specialist hospital but could see the specialists there. And, we can carry on seeing a regular Vet who updates the specialists as needed. Its a brilliant service that really helped us and we can't thank you guys enough. We know they care a lot about us and our pets. The place is always busy because everyone wants the great service they offer. I am sure if you receive the level of care we got you will be impressed and well looked after.

My greatest thanks to all the staff at HK vets - they have been amazing. When other vets couldn't help, their free second opinion saved my cats life! They all have a real personal touch whilst being utterly professional, and what I (and my cat) really appreciate is that they all talk together about tricky cases so you're getting the benefit of all their great vet's brains. Major thanks go to Filipe and Tina, wonderful, caring vets capable of looking after my cat AND have me sob over them. Overall a really great practice. It's true that sometimes you do end up waiting but that's because they give you all the time your animal needs. A small price to pay.

We booked our kitten in with Henderson Keywood & Partners to have him neutered. He was due to enter a cat show two weeks later and we were worried about any shaved fur from the operation not growing back in time. The surgery heard our concerns, and one of the partners personally did the surgery ensuring the incision was small and minimal hair was removed. Two weeks later, our little kitten did very well at the cat show!

Great vets. One of my dogs is reactive and they either let me come in the back way or make sure reception is clear for me to come through. He also has several long term illnesses that means I am there a LOT and they are always caring, take as much time as needed and handle him and his unpredictability brilliantly and love him even though he can be difficult at times. I am a dog walker and one of my clients had a very poorly dog at another local vet but when I recommended Kavit and they moved to here they finally found out what the problem was and learned she'd had an unnecessary operation that put her in greater danger as well as a broken tooth from gnawing on the bars to the crate she was left in, unsupervised, from 7pm till the next morning. That would never be the case here as it's staffed 24/7 and the crates all have glass doors. While it might be a little more expensive than some others, you get what you pay for and fortunately I'm insured so... I wouldn't go anywhere else...

I was suggested very expensive treatment for my cat at this surgery followed by a lifetime of (also expensive) heart pills... thankfully I sought a second opinion, because I was told the treatment wasn't necessary (and my lovely cat lived to the grand old age of 18).
I'm glad I went elsewhere and saved my cat unnecessary trauma - and us unnecessary vet bills.

I have been bringing my dog here for several years now and although the staff is friendly their pricing is inconsistent and extortionate . I have ended my time here as the last straw was they have felt to charge me £50 to listen to the results of bloods taken 3 days previous, in which I paid just under £800 for those test, among a few other things. When I had left that visit I was told to 'pop in early next week to check the blood pressure and know results of the bloods'.....Gobsmacked by this charge to merely 'hear the results' of the bloods I've just paid for and to be told their reasoning was 'consultation'. ***BTW, this 'consultation' visit went like this: my dog escorted out to check blood pressure me being called into the room, sitting in the chair, having been asked how my dog has been the past few days then hearing the 'bloods were on the higher side but nothing to be done about it as not high enough for concern and will keep an eye on it' and my dogs blood pressure looks good..... then I left the room..... **** All of this is part of the £800 visit ****

Bottom line is this is absurd and I will be sure to let those I know with pets to avoid this surgery. Shame really as they just did it up but maybe that's why it's so expensive as I'm paying for it

****Absolute disgusting service here, resulting in death of our Love Bird.**** Visited on New Year’s Day with our Love Bird who had become egg bound. Vet (female, not sure of her name) didn’t even bother to exam our bird. When I said to her do you think she is egg bound, the vets reply “no don’t think so, just give her these drops”. Only when I said are you going to examine her did she quickly peer through the travel cage for a few seconds, which at this point our bird had moved to the corner of the cage with her back towards us. The vet didn’t get her out, conduct any sort of examination as she should have done. If she had she would have seen that she was egg bound and needed urgent care. She even advised us that if she was egg bound to bring her back in a few days for an X-Ray and she would check. Every piece of information I have researched now that our bird has passed clearly says that the vet should examine the bird and requires medical attention straight away if you suspect she is egg bound. Because of the negligence of this vet our Love Bird died the next day. Avoid this vet, it might look good outside, nice and clean but that’s no good if the people inside don’t know what they are doing.

At this practice I have constantly faced delays.
A typical wait can be 30 minutes. No one offers any explanation or apologies (without creating a fuss) and there seems to be enough staff wondering about to let you know.
For such a premium price (which I have paid as it was close by) you would expect a timely service.
I have waited 40 mins to book in a cat to be neutered and after causing a fuss as I needed to go to work I was told a vet had called in sick, they had left a reception room full of clients and had not thought to tell us.
I have then had to wait 45 mins for a non emergency consultation and the cause was they were busy, not particularly satisfactory as I would have made another appointment if I had been forewarned or even told after 20 minutes it was going to be a long wait.
Avoid this practice if there is another you can get to.

4 years later had an emergency so I was in cold panic drove to this practice out of sheer instinct as not lived here in years. They are still as useless as before not updates when you are busy scared about you animal. Just wonder about and only again when you cause a fuss do you get an explanation. I took the cat to another vet in the end and they are fine with a bit of surgery, 2019 update.
