Took my little cat in for a checkup as she hasn’t been eating. Doctor spoke very arrogantly to my mother and couldn’t take a blood test from my cat and got defensive when we inquired as to why. He simply said we had to pay extra to have her sedated and stay over night. Do not like their attitude and will be going elsewhere for another opinion and hopefully a kinder vet. Would not recommend to anyone as they are very expensive and the service is not up to par. Look elsewhere, I will not be returning.

Went in as emergency no appt. Nurses most helpful as couldnt lift dog alone. Vets did all they could. Spoke to my sister(owner)when they could do no more. I was in bits. They were professional, understanding and showed great sympathy.

A wonderful veterinary practice! I'm so happy we came here after bad experiences elsewhere. The staff are warm and friendly. The nurse was very helpful and explained any procedures and questions that we had, making us feel at ease and assured that our little kalifa is in good hands. A kind and caring practice.

Great vets themselves, apart from a new one that forgot to order my dogs medication but the reception side not so great at all. Various insurance claim forms and paperwork which had been forgotten to be sent off resulting in delays, constantly having to chase for emailed receipts, unfriendly manner when I’ve been waiting in reception area, bad attitude and abrupt on the phone to the point I dread ringing up. Happened again this morning when I rang and spoke to Emma who seemed put out I was querying which vet my dog was seeing. Not the front of house service you would expect from an extremely expensive vets in Winchmore Hill.

Possibly the worst vets ever! They charge the earth and offer the worst possible service. Our poor fur baby was sadly put to sleep a week ago. I phoned today to ask why had the vets not made contact about her casket/cremation. They said they didn’t want us to feel under pressure to pay 😡 So our beloved elderly dog has been left in a cold room for a week, so the vets doesn’t offend us - seriously 😩 I have used this practice for over 45 years - it was Lopatkins surgery for many years, then Simon took over and the service was always good. Now it’s part of a “chain” it’s dreadful, poor service, rude receptionists, nice enough vets but so they should be for £60 plus for a consultation. My last dog has gone to heaven and my relationship with this dreadful practice is done .

I have had many pets over the years from mice to horses and so have had many many different vets over the years and there has been a very small number of what I would call top class not just by training but by being a vet from the inside and deeply caring person that keeps your pets welfare primary while paying attention to the owners well being and wishes so having Barbara Thielman as my preferred vet has inspired me to do my first ever google review thank you village vets and Barbara thank you from me and Rocky ;)))

Horrible service.
I called to book an appointment and the lady told me Monday at 7pm and she repeated Monday again. I go in the vet on Monday and she tells me the appointment is on Wednesday and no way she could do it today. Then Wednesday around 4pm she calls and tells me she had to reschedule as there were 3 emergencies and they couldn’t see my cat. She told me I will call you later on to tell you the date, If I won’t be able to call you later I will definitely call the next day in the morning. It’s been almost 2 days and I still didn’t receive, hilarious. Please people if you care for your pets this place is horrible.

My new adopted kitten has eye corneal ulcers that didn't heal, after over a month being treated and cared for by the wonderful Village Vet team in West London, I was referred to Barbara the Orthamologist stationed in the group's Winchmore Hill and Primrose Hill branches. She did very thorough checks in the eyes each time, made sure bacterial and viral lab checks are conducted to really find out the cause of the issue and explained everything in layman language so I understand the problem and specific plans along the healing process. Super helpful and followed up with his progress closely as well. His corneal ulcer has finally healed - it will take time for full recovery but it is finally healthy enough to heal by itself. The little one most probably has herpes although test came back negative but there're so many false negatives, however I feel that there's an Ophthalmology service I can rely on when flares up ever happen again.
