Oval Pet Centre Veterinary Practice

I have been using this vets for the last 7 years, the reception staff & nurses always friendly & helpful, the vets are informative always had a positive experience my dog is happy to come in & see everyone says it all really thank you

The vets do a good job…. BUT the staff are not particularly friendly, they always try to add extra treatment or recall you back. You just get the feeling they’re trying to squeeze every penny out of you that they can. My dog had a throat infection, £240 for examination fluid analysis and 5 days of antibiotics. Not to bad I thought. The vet said he was going to have the fluid checked and then decide whether to carry on the antibiotics or change to another one. Today we got a call, all OK and we’re continuing with the antibiotics. I almost died when I got there and was told it was£171 for 3 weeks antibiotics, and that those period 5 days had cost £64 for 10 pills! I refused to pay went home and on line you can get the same quantity for£45. So I phoned requesting the prescription and guess what they want £19 for the prescription that they must have already written out for the pills I was supposed to collect. I’ve used oval for years just accepting that vets are expensive, but this is the final straw. I refused to be ripped of any more and I’d advise you to avoid and do the same!

As a new dog mum I felt very welcome and reassured when visiting the Sidcup vets. All staff were incredibly friendly and thorough with providing information about the next steps. It can be very intimidating walking in to a practice with an ill pet however this was not the case. Thank you to everyone who helped me and the boys so far!

Great place would not take my pets anywhere else

I have been using Oval Pet vets for over 23 years now, they was such an amazing caring vets now it seems it is just about money and not care. No longer can you book your dog in for their yearly vaccines at Sidcup or Welling only Eltham, one of my dogs gets very distressed in the car so this is an ordeal for me and my dog to try to get to Eltham. They now only open in Sidcup for hospital appointments (more money) this vets has changed so much over the years and not for the better. They used to be friendly and helpful from the reception to the vet this all seems to have disappeared. Such a shame I used to always recommend my friends and family but would definitely not anymore.

I have used the Oval vets for about 6 years. They have always been very helpful and make me and my dog feel comfortable, and have given use both confidence when visiting. The staff have always been helpful and friendly. Roo has never had a problem with visiting which makes it a lot less stressful.
