Abbey Veterinary Centre - Durham

Massive thankyou to Zoe on reception, she was amazing during my visit with my belgian malinois Ozzi. He gets overly excited around other dogs and ended up barking and jumping around. The vet was really nervous and cautious around Ozzi incase he was to bite, however Zoe was so friendly towards my dog and kept us both calm. The vet being so nervous around my boy put me on edge a little and seemed to make my dog a little nervous too. I cant thank or praise her enough for the support she gave us during our visit. 10/10 to this lady, she was a star!

If I could give this practice a ZERO rating I would. From the beginning it seems their main interests are extorting money from their clients from treatment to medicines. The Pet Plan is even worse, came out of the plan after 18 months (not worth the money) only to be given a bill for £130.
Taken my dog down a couple of times for one or two issues and no diagnosis were given, still charged over £100 and no further forward.
The best one...….being charged a further £100 to check a neck lump from a previous injection that had been administered.
Don't get me started on the cost of tablets, x10 the price of online.

Visited Abbey vets yesterday with my puppy for the first time and I was absolutely over the moon. The vet was informative, caring, kind and patient. She made Sonnys first trip to the vets thoroughly enjoyable and also put my mind at ease whilst there. The reception staff are lovely and friendly and all the vets at the practice went out of their way to come over and introduce themselves to Sonny and make a fuss of him. Lovely staff and an absolute credit to the practice. Wouldn’t go anywhere else after a very bad experience at a previous vets. Abbey vets are the best and it’s 5* from me all round! Thank you so much
