I have always received excellent service over the years and the staff are always pleasant but I have now been put in a worrying situation as one of my dogs is on life long medication so I pay for a prescription and source on line. I went to get my repeat prescription on Wednesday and they said it would take 24 hours to process and they would ring me. I rang yesterday (Thursday) and not ready and they would ring me. Now Good Friday and they are closed. This means if I get it Saturday I can't source it till next week by which time I will have run out of meds. So sorry Baytree I feel very let down.

I’ve had terrible experiences with Baytree vets. I’ve was told my cat had a deteriorating neurological disorder to then find out there was nothing wrong with him. Every time I have been there, and that has been plenty, I found they are concerned only about money. They were getting me to pay £54 every few weeks for pain relief when my cat was run over and didn’t tell me I could get a script and get it online cheaper. My family have also used Baytree vets and have had several misdiagnosis with the worst including a TB diagnosis and advised their cat would need to put down only to find out this wasn’t the case.

I have been with bay tree vets for nearly 30yrs, Bob was amazing, and I thought that the new vet who has taken over was nearly as good, but no, they have told me that they won't dispense the painkillers my nearly 16yr old dog needs, they want to do a medical review, to make sure she is healthy, unless I agree to this she won't have any pain relief, and now at £40 to walk through the door, definitely money oriented and not for the animals

DISGUSTED! Took my cat in as an emergency but the vet couldn't find anything wrong with her. She wasn't breathing properly but they told me it was probably stress and the heat. Without going into all the [horrendous] detail, my 11 year old cat died in extremely distressing and traumatic circumstances in my arms that same [Friday] evening.
I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THESE PEOPLE!
I concur with what others have said about this vets focus on money too.
The 2 receptionists, TRACEY and KAREN are this place's saving grace. They are fantastic and I have always appreciated their help and kindness.

I cannot recommend Bay Tree Vets enough. I have a recuse 9 year old lurcher whose teeth were not in the best condition. After having an extremely bad encounter with another vets, Bay Tree have been fantastic. The receptionist are extremely warm and welcoming, I spoke to them and explained the situation with the other vets and expressed I was extremely nervous and worried about my old boy going through another round anaesthetic as he didn’t react well to it last time. The receptionist immediately made contact with the previous vets to get his history and to find out what they used so Bay Tree could tailor the anaesthetic to him. The vets/veterinary nurses were all honest and helpful, they explained the procedure and gave great aftercare advice. He ended up having 10 teeth removed and they did such a wonderful job with him, they phoned me muilpte times through out his surgery to keep me updated. I 100% trust these guys with my boy, they are extremely caring and you can really tell they have the animals best interest at heart! Thank you again Bay Tree Team xxx

I am so picky as to who can care for my 3 dogs. I trust BayTree implicitly.
They are not money driven, they genuinely care about the animal and the owner.
Such kind, caring and patient staff.
Always available to answer any of my (sometimes daft) questions!
My 3 dogs love BayTree! The vets and nurses give the best care. Very professional but also its like your pet is part of their baytree family!
Receptionists are some of the nicest people around and always strive to bend over backwards for you and your pet.
When my two dogs went in for neutering, I got phone calls throughout the day to update me on how my babies are doing and also a follow up call the next day to see how the first night went.
If any of my dogs have been poorly, they phone up the next day to see how they are and how I am.
A very reasonable priced vet with the best standard of care!

We have had a pack of dogs for over 20 years and moved our current 4 dogs over to Bay Tree about 5 years ago and I am very impressed with the standard of care from the previous owners and the new ones. Throughout lockdown they have adapted their service to keep staff and customers safe and I feel like they value our custom. All of the vets, nurses and reception staff are kind and empathetic - especially Tracy - who is always so lovely and knows all of my animals names without having to look them up! They are understanding of my wanting to try alternative pet care and aren't pushy or condescending in their advice.
The only thing I would like to see as part of the fabulous new refit is some kind of double door system for dogs who tend to want to pull out of the vets!
