Medivet Clerkenwell

The vet had the consultation with us in her break. We went to get a coffee before our appointment and left the rabbit at the practice with the staff. When we came back to have our consultation the vet said she had examined the rabbit while we were gone, and she spoke extremely fast explaining what she thought was wrong with the rabbit. Everything the vet said was very clinical and she did not say a word of kindness. She spoke to us in the waiting room, she didn't even take us to the consultation room. I felt I was unable to make a fully informed decision as the vet rushed us to make a decision. I appreciate that she chose to book an appointment to see us in her break time however the poor level of customer service we were given as a result of that made our visit to Clerkenwell Medivet a very unpleasant one. Once the vet had finished speaking the receptionist said a few words of kindness to us. She said "Hopefully the rabbits condition will improve" and those words meant the world to me. Apart from this kind receptionist who I don't know the name of, the other staff I encountered were cold and unfriendly.

We are having a difficult time seeking treatment here because they don't really share information or seem to engage in any kind of risk assessment. They wanted us to jump straight into surgery (so risky!) to have a lump removed without even getting a test first. Then we got a test, and they said they'd send us a report but never did. They prescribed antibiotics, and it was only 2 weeks later that we found out—after calling to request the report—that the initial report had suggested a second test.

The only way we can find anything out or get the information we need to make appropriate risk-weighted decisions is by asking a lot of questions, and of course we're not experts so we don't even know all the questions to ask.

I bought the digestive paste from this vets, and when I spoke to the lady at the desk I explained my cats general issues and even though my cat isn't registered there she gave me good advice and I've moved him onto the food she suggested and it's helped massively. Thank you :)

They charged me £4 per tablet when you can find it anywhere for £0.78. For an eye drop they charged me £48, the price everywhere is £11. Never buy anything here. Service and vets are quite average. It isn't worth it.

My cat was treated at the Clerkenwell Medivets. The staff are really knowledgable and very friendly. The waiting room is calm and everything seems really well run.

A fantastic vet in central London. Appointments are always easy to book and the vets are really knowledgeable. They give you different options and I think are quite practical in the guidance for what is best for you and your pet. All the staff is friendly and my dog is actually excited to visit. We recently had quite a big medical issue with our large dog and I really appreciate the care and information the vets here gave us. Would recommend.

This practice gives great service no matter how big or small your pet may be. They have, over the years, been both kind and understanding along with excellent professional care. They were very prompt when our wee rattie became unwell at the end of her long life and showed huge understanding towards my daughter who was heartbroken.
