Aylsham vets have been wonderful, my cat had a very bad wound to the back of his leg and the care they have given him is outstanding. Everyone is so caring, friendly and very helpful, went back today to have his stitches removed but they wouldn't as they didn't want wound to open up so they said they would try at the end of the week. They always think and put your pet first. Thank you so much for everything ❤

Everyone at Aylsham Vets has been nothing short of fantastic when treating my little cat this week! Even during the Coronavirus lockdown they have made time for her and treated her so quickly and efficiently and I will be forever grateful for their incredible service! I couldn't recommend them more! 🥰🙏

My father took my pup into the vets today and I spoke to them over the phone whilst he was there. They wanted to charge me £70 to hydrate her as she was a bit dehydrated and then said they would give her medication, well I didn’t know what they were doing a came back to a bill of £110. Which is crazy considering she had just been to get her second vaccine and work and flea treatment from a different vets which only charged us £57.
To me it just seemed like they wanted to take advantage of every way they could make money from my pup.

Knowledgeable vets who explain well and friendly. Reception team exceptionally friendly, best I've come across. A little expensive but not unmanageable

Brilliant vets. Were really good and sympathetic when we had to have our dog put to sleep. Highly recommended.

Be careful with this vets. You have to give your dog away for personal circumstances. Your dog fall ill and get taken to this vets they treat your dog. They don’t ask id from the person bringing in the dog . Nearly a year after you had to give your dog away you get the baliff knocking on your door to collect outstanding payment. You ring up the vets to explain you haven’t had the dog for months and get told you still have to pay the bill as with bailiffs now . So keep well away

It has taken us some time to process what happened to my sweet gentle dog that passed away mid December 2020.
We took her to Aylsham vets to a 3.30pm appoint ment as she was panting and shaking. We mentioned a concern regarding her stomach area. Due to Covid restrictions our 8 year old greyhound was taken without us present to the vet Vanessa while we waited in our vehicle outside the practice.
Sometime later Vanessa came out saying that she believed our dog had a neck injury and asked to take blood tests. We agreed. We waited some time for the results which she believed were related to muscle injury and although some results seemed high wasn't concerned. We took our dog home with pain relief medication. Vanessa told us to call if she seemed worse.
Once we returned home around 5pm we gave our dog some food which she refused so we were unable to give this pain relief to her.
At 5.45 out dog started screaming in pain and couldn't stand up. We called Aylsham vets who did not answer but we're transferred to Taverham Vets who could hear her screaming in agony over the phone. They told us to bring her immediately. My husband lifted her into the back of our car by this time her breathing was laboured and in the 10 minutes it took to get to vets she was clearly dying.
Taverham were amazing they literally ran with our dog to put her on life support. Shockingly less than 15 minutes after arrival they found she had a large haemorrhage into her stomach. With such a poor prognosis and how poorly she was we had no choice but to agree to euthanasia.
We used the Aylsham Vets complaints procedure but no responsibility was accepted by the practice manager which was exactly the response we expected.
We were and are utterly devastated by our loss and although we could of taken our complaint to mediation we decided after much soul searching to let our beautiful girl rest in peace. No apology will make up for the untimely death of our beloved pet. People can make there own judgement but our opinion of this vet was she showed no empathy and a serious lack of good practice resulting in total misdiagnosis of our dog 🐶
