Abbey Veterinary Centres, Brecon

Two weeks ago I had to have my little Bob put to sleep ( he was my dog, and best friend) the ladies and gentlemen at Brecon vets were outstanding, they were so understanding, thoughtful and kind not just to me but to Bob as well. They let me stay with Bob throughout even letting me say my goodbyes in private, we were not rushed and every thing was explained clearly. I picked his ashes up just over a week later in a beautiful box with his name on, and came home to a lovely sympathy card from all the staff. Abbey vets in Brecon is the best by far

It's taken me 7 years to leave this feedback because it was too upsetting at the time. The male vet from this practice came to our house to put our beloved elderly dog to sleep. The vet was angry (possibly because of the weekend call out- which we were paying a lot for), and was rough with our poor little dog in his last moments, and was rude and snappy at me for being upset. He apologised as he left, but I was too upset to take it any further. Truly horrible experience. I would never take an animal to this practice again.

The vets here have never been anything less than professional and caring.The only thing that lets the place down is the abrasive and frankly, frequently downright rude, manner of one of the receptionists. How you can be the welcoming face of a business when you can't even bring yourself to say 'good morning' to a customer beggars belief.

Thank you for the response. I have absolutely no issue with the veterinary care provided. I want to make it clear that all the vets and other medical staff are beyond reproach as are the majority of the administrative staff.

We used Abbet vets whilst we were up here on holiday and our dog Scrappy became unwell. They managed to fit us in quickly and and made us feel like regulars. Maegan the vet was so lovelly and caring and addressed all my concerns, and the the receptionist was great and very friendly. Thank you Abbey vets, Scrappy is back to her normal collie self and we enjoyed the rest of our break 😊

Our experience at Abbey Vets in Brecon could not have been better. We were on holiday in the area when our dog needed relatively urgent attention (not emergency) from the minute we made contact to the moment we left, we were in amazing hands and that time was literally an hour, we were given an appointment within half an hour and seen quickly as well, all sorted in an hour from first contact. A big thank you to Sarah, Meaghan and Teegan for looking after us and Chester in his hour of need. Super efficient, very thorough and extremely professional but all that said, just very nice people :)

I have always found the staff at Abbey vets Brecon very helpful, especially Ann. I have known Ann for many years and she is always cheery, helpful. Ann provides information about any new services that the vets will provide. Ann is also very supportive when it comes to end of life of my pets. Ann is an excellent and very valuable member of staff.

Once again I am utterly blown away by the kindness, efficiency and professionalism shown to both me and my dog. In spite of being incredibly busy, Ann and Pippa took the time to help. These people are assets to Abbey👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
